It was in the mid-September when Francisco had brought Emily's friends to buy ice-cream.That was a Friday I won't forget.He was friends with all of their fathers'. Best friends actually. Their friendship broke when he died.Maybe they had already....I just don't know. My poor Emily is in the hospital now; everyone 's freaking out. I looked across me and...Is that the President's daughter. Amy Boswell?. She's friends with Emily?. Wow. I observed the environment in the hospital. It was filled with people who were here for Emily. I didn't see any nurses or doctors. It's been hours now. I got up walking up to the reception area. "Um excuse me", I said looking at the woman behind the desk. She looked up at me with an angry face. Wow. What a way to create a first impression of the hospital. "Yes?", she asked blinking about a thousand times with that disgusting gum in her mouth. ""My daughter was admitted here a couple of hours ago (Looking on my watch). And until now, we've gotten no response", I said. "What's her name ?", she asked. "Emily...Farqueson", I replied. She looked at me as if I didn't know my daughter's name. It took her one minute to go through the system and find Emily's name. She looked up at me. "She was shot?", she asked. "Yes", I replied."Um, I'll get back to you", she said picking up the phone and punching in a number. She spun around the chair blocking me out and answering the phone. Ok. She looked around at me putting down the phone. "Dr. Thomas will be with you in a minute", she said. "Thank you", I said walking off. As soon as I was about to take a seat. ....."Who's here for Emily Farqueson?", the doctor swallowed hard before speaking. "I'm sorry but.......Before he could finish speaking a young man busted in running up to us."What.....happened?", he asked. Who is he?."And you are?", I asked. He looked at me with total respect in his eyes, but hurt."I'm a friend of Emily", he said. "oh,"I said. I turned back to the doctor smiling. "What were you saying?", I asked. "I was saying that your daughter's heart is failing her. She got the gun shot very..." "What can we do?", I asked. "we have less than 24 hours to do a transplant, it's the only way we can save her. But, we would have to do the surgery in less than 12 hours so she can recover quickly",the doctor said. I looked at everyone. I turned to Mrs. Farqueson who started to cry. "We don't......." I'll take take care of this, don't worry about it", I said pulling the doctor a long the corridor with me. "How much money will the transplant cost", I asked him. He looked at me frightened. "Half a million", he said smiling. "Then do it ", I stated.
