章節 1: Introduction: Naomi Millers
It was a pleasant morning , similar to the paradise Naomi always imagined , birds singing in a calming and peaceful voice , sky being bright blue as ever with thick fluffy clouds ,trees and plants , all of it looked full of life , stray cats and dogs , roaming around the streets , us humans are kind of similar in a way. Our life is filled with streets , and we roam around each and every street in search of something that a human desires. Whether it's love , money , approval , appreciation, kindness , independence , someone to depend on , education , success and the list goes on. In search of any of such things , we get kicked out of one street , and then another...and another until we finally find what we've been looking for. Some of us give up in the middle, and bathe in the bottle of poison or smell the scent of fresh blood. Others don't and they keep moving forward , no matter how many streets decline them , they know and they believe that one they , they'll find the right street for them to live in.
"today seems so perfect , nothing is going to ruin it for me" says Naomi enthusiastically. She gets up and takes a ice cold shower , just how she likes it . She gets ready because today was the start of her 3rd semester in med school. She was surprisingly really happy that day, it was the beginning of a new year after all. As perfect as her day was going , there was one thing missing. Her big brother of course.
"BIG BROTHER WAKE UP YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE" Naomi screams as she enters her brother's room. Chase doesn't seem to give a response at first so Naomi goes up to him and screams again. "BIG BROTHER YOU'RE SERIOUSLY GOING TO GET ME LATE TOO" , exclaims Naomi. Chase who was in a deep sleep , again, doesn't give a response. Annoyed , Naomi goes near her brother , and holds his nose , making him unable to breathe.
"NAOMI WHAT THE HELL" exclaims Chase in anger.
"well now , at least you're up , I've been trying to wake you up for the past 10 minutes" says Naomi. Chase then gets up and sits on his bed , seemingly in a deep thought. Most likely thinking about this very strange dream that he had.
"big brother? Are you okay? Asks Naomi in a very concerning tone , making him snap out of his thoughts.
"yes iam okay , give me some time to get ready if you don't mind Naomi?" Asks Chase politely. Naomi then goes out of his room and goes straight to the kitchen to make breakfast for her brother. Though she does have alot of maids in the house , she always cooks for her older brother because he likes her cooking.After she was done setting up the dining table with fresh daisies and fancy cutleries, she goes to check up on her brother.She entered his room calling his name but there was no response there. Thinking he might be in the restroom , she goes to knock on the restroom's door. To her surprise , the door was already opened and there she saw her brother standing there , constantly looking at himself in the mirror , with rather a...frightened expression.Concerned , Naomi slowly approaches her brother , gently shaking him.
"Oh , yes Naomi?" Asks chase, quickly changing his expression as if he was never in that frightened state to begin with.
"The breakfast it's....ready" replies Naomi , being confused as to why her brother had been acting so strange since the morning.Though she was worried , she didn't think much of it.
After breakfast , Chase offers to drop off Naomi to her medical school.She accepts the offer and goes with him. Naomi sure was happy , but on the other hand , she had an uneasy feeling about her brother too, something she had not felt in a very long time , she wanted to dismiss her thoughts but looking at her brother didn't help at all. When she arrived at her college , she quickly forgot about his brother's unusual behavior and went on with her day. On the entrance there ,someone really familiar was waiting for her, of course it was zack , her childhood best friend.
"ZACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" Naomi screams as she runs towards him excitedly.
"NAOMI?!" Zack exclaims as Naomi bumps into him because she was running so fast.
"owwwwwwwwwww" Naomi says as she's getting up. "You're such a kid Naomi" Zack says as he chuckles and helps Naomi get up. They both laugh it off and head towards their class. Meanwhile Chase is on his way towards his office or shall i say..was on his way. He makes a U turn and starts driving on the road which is opposite to the road of his office. He then finds himself in a huge building , pretty fancy much , he enters and there are alot of body guards there.
"STOP , WHO ARE YOU?" says a man as he puts Chase on gun point. Chase then shows the man his ID and the expression of the man changes quickly from anger to instant regret. He gets on his knees and begs chase to forgive him. Chase gives that man a blank expression and walks by him. He then finds himself in a large room with someone, supposedly the owner of that building and someone in his mid 50's.
"It sure has been a while , do you not miss me?" asks the man with a grin on his face.
After that they sure do...have a very interesting conversation , which may or might change their lives.
