章節 17: opening ceremony
The six of them started heading towards the building ,along the way,they started interacting with each other,and the others,besides lirios,learned that Arcane was a commoner,of course as they've been influenced by lirios,and due to their own upbringings,they saw nothing wrong with her(arcane)being a commoner,their attitude towards her was still the same as before earning a grateful glance from the heroine in question.
Lirios:"why are you looking at us like that?"
Arcane:"I was a bit worried,although this school does accept commoners,it's still mainly filled with rich people"
Lilian:"you don't have to worry about that,they're rules in place to prevent any bullying"
Arcane:"even so,most commoners are looked down on by rich people,so I was glad when you guys had no reaction towards me being one"
Leocraft:"we don't make friends based on status,so commoner or not,it doesn't affect us much"
Mystic:"besides,you got in here with your own talents,while most of the nobles got in with their background"
Arwin:"compared to them who's faced nothing,we prefer hard working people like you to be our friends,besides,you're not the first commoner friend we have"
Lilian:"yeah,hanging around rosie really opened our eyes"
Lirios:"you guys were never discriminative in the first place,I just let out more of that side of you"
Arcane:"you have other commoner friends?and what activities did you participate in"
Lirios:"I have a brother who's a commoner,and we always went to the orphanage a lot,we still go there when we have time"
Arcane:"really,I want to go with you guys next time then"
Lirios:"of course...we need to hurry,the welcome ceremony is about to start soon"
Arwin:"whoa,why the sudden rush"
Lirios:"I feel like somethings going to happen,so we have to hurry"
Lirios just now remembered that in the game,during the opening ceremony when the heroine and villainess,along with all the other main characters showed up since it was the opening of the game,there was an event that occurred at the welcome ceremony that made the heroine and male leads friends.
In the game,the principal decided to change things up a bit since more commoners got into the school this year than in all the previous years,so the ceremony hall was actually an illusion by a device,and there were two ways to pass. Those who passed,depending on the number,became part of the student council,and got credits.
School credits could be used to enter rooms in the school,most faculties are opened to everyone,but some require a certain amount of credits,or a specific grade to be allowed into,and some unique ones even require a certain amounts of credits periodically to be allowed to stay in there.
There were two ways to pass,one was to discover where the illusion stone was placed and get transported to the real ceremony hall,and the other was to use a tool strong enough to break the illusion stone. By doing the first one,you simply became part of the student body,and the faster you got to the real hall,the higher your status in the student body. By completing it the second way,you'd become the student body president for your year specifically.
The chairman/permanent president of the student body is the principal, following him,there's usually four other presidents for each grade (1~4),along with presidents, there's usually two vice-presidents for each grade,and then the other statuses.
After about one minute of continuous running,the six of them got to the fake ceremony hall
Mystic:"there's something wrong with this room"
Arcane:"yeah,it almost feels fake"
Lirios:"as expected of you two,it should be an illusion stone"
The reason lirios was in such a hurry in because,although in the game,it showed the heroine,male leads,and lilian passing the test, it never showed where exactly the illusion stone was placed,and naturally,the more time there had to search for it,the better,and with how much higher their levels are when compared to the game,maybe there can even break the illusion.
In the game,the heroine,lilian,and male leads became closer by searching for clues on how the illusion stone looked like,and where it could possibly be placed, with the heroine's wits,and friendly behavior,along with not being smitten by them(male leads), they quickly got along and became friends,and lilian in the game also admired the heroine from this,hence why she gave way so easily in the end.
Arwin:"so what is this,a test or something?"
Leocraft:"I thought it was weird when we received a notice that we were required to attend the ceremony for this years grade 1,and now it seems this was why"
Mystic:"your senses are spot on lirios,you felt as though something would happen,and something really is happening right now"
Lirios:"hehe,It was just luck on my part" I actually know it from the game, you praise me too much.
Lilian:"so how are we supposed to find the stone"
Arcane:"there should be hints around this place describing the stone,or maybe the location of the stone,there could even be hints describing both"
Lirios:"great,let's look for hints,and since we came early,we have some extra time"
There was still about 5 - 10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start,so most of the students were either looking around the school,or saying their goodbyes to their families,some of them were also putting their items up in their dorm
Others:"alright"
They all started looking for clues around the theatre looking room. The room was a large room with many chairs,stairs,and a center stage in the middle,there were many possible places for clues to be found
Lirios:"guys,I found a writing on this chair"
This time,it really was her high luck playing a role in this,although the game didn't show the process of how the 'stone' was found,or what the 'stone' even looked like,it still took the leads plus lilian about 30 minutes to find the 'stone' and escape from here to the real ceremony hall,and yet in a simple minute,not even yet been a minute,lirios had already found a clue. If the original people in the game were to know,they'd probably wish to slap the producers for making it so hard for them to discovere clues and yet so easy for lirios in this life to do so.
Arwin:"what does it read"
Lirios:"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what you find beautiful might not be seen in the same way by others, just like how one man's trash is another man's treasure. Look at things from different points of views,never through a colored glass. What is clear will always be clear,even when people smear it with dirt. Look for a bright place in your heart,that's where the answer lies"
Mystic:"that's quite long for a clue"
Lilian:"a bright place...the brightest place in this room would be the center stage"
Arcane:"hmm..it shouldn't be that simple,the first sentence was 'beauty is in the eyes of the beholder' so maybe something ugly?"
Leocraft:"alright,so we're supposed to look for something clear and most likely beautiful"
Lirios:"the only thing clear and beautiful,but most people find old would be...the crystal glass"
Others:"the crystal glass?"
Lirios:"I'm guessing none of you read the school book,in the section about the rooms in the school,it's said there's a crystal glass in the storage room of the ceremony hall, but most people don't like that glass because the inscriptions of it have a myriad of colors that don't mix well and make it come of as ugly"
Lilian:"you actually read that long book..."
Lirios:"of course,it was actually quite a fun read,who knew the school had so many places in it"
Mystic:"...wow"
Leocraft:"I don't know what's more surprising,the fact that lirios actually took the time to read that book or the fact that mystic has been driven speechless for the first time"
Arwin:"alright people,we got clues to look for"
Arcane:"already ahead of you..I found the door to the storage room"
Behind the curtains on the back of the center stage,there were four doors,the leftmost door was a secret door that allowed people to leave the stage without being surrounded,but as it's an illusion,that door leads to nowhere. The door on the right side of that,but still on the left side of the stage was the bathroom for those on stage. After those two doors,there's a short distance followed by the next two doors. The next door, which is on the right side of the stage and the closest door to the stage is the lounge, some ladies also like to call it the make-up room. The last door to the right most section of the stage is the storage room.
The six of them headed to the storage room,and opened the door. Inside the storage room,there are many neatly packed boxes covering the front half of the room, the next half of the room had a round table with 8 seats,on the left of the table is a tool similar to a vending machine filled with deserts. on the right of that table is another tool similar to a vending machine filled with drinks,specifically teas and juices.
Lilian:"there,on the table"
