The surprise was so sudden that Alex, who had not held much hope, was taken aback by Ava's easy agreement.

He composed himself, knowing that since Ava had agreed, it was best to move abroad sooner rather than later to avoid any unforeseen complications. "It would be best if we could get the visa sorted out within this week. A senior from abroad, aware of my situation here, has already arranged a doctor for me. I shouldn't make him wait too long, and I'll introduce you to him once we arrive."
