Shifting his head up from her shoulder, Haru's eyes which held warmth instant went as a shadow crept into the hallway.

"Mira-nee, we've got company," Haru said, his gaze fixed on the creature slowly advancing toward them. 

It moved as if trying to be stealthy, but Haru's vigilance had caught it. Had he not been extra cautious, the creature might have gone unnoticed.

"What?"

"Eh?"

Knowing their surroundings weren't safe, they quickly became alert and looked in the direction Haru was staring.

A male creature, seemingly a type of zombie, came into their iew. Its internal organs were hanging out, but its most unique aspect was its completely dark body, perfect for blending into the shadows.
