Zagan was confused why the winged young man was scared after the mention of the shadow. Was there something more that he did not know?

For all zagan knew, that shadow was running away from him but why does it seem like everyone is scared of the shadow more than he had expected. Who exactly was this shadow?

Zagan followed the winged guy to a treehouse in the woods. The winged man shut the door and peeked from the small opening to see if it was safe or not.

He sighed when he saw no one then turned to Zagan.

"what do you think you doing calling a shadow out in the open like that?" he sternly asked.

Zagan was confused by the young man's outburst. What could possibly be wrong with mentioning the word shadow out in the open? Was it abominable in this part of the world?

The dark fairy sighed to calm himself down then started again.
