''Yeah,'' I say and extract my hand from the keyhole and change it back to normal.
''Awesome!!!'' she exclaimed
''Really, I thought sirens weren't such fans of shifters''
''Are you kidding me, I've always wanted to meet a shifter, and even sometimes be one''
''Hmm, well you don't have to be one if you can eat one''
The smile on her face faded for a while and a look of fear flashed in her eyes for a nanosecond before the smile came back.
''Well don't keep standing there, you still owe me that snack''
''Come on in''
I opened the door and led her towards the back of the room, to another door, which was already open.
''Say hello to the store room'' I say as I open the door her jaw drops and she picks it up again.
''You said snack, this is more like an all-you-can-eat buffet''
''I said snack because this will be lunch tomorrow so we can't finish it all''
''I'm not making any promises'' she says and walks on.
Soon enough, she had an armload of food that looked big enough for two people''
''You must be starving'' I remark
''I am, sometimes, being a siren can be a curse''
''I wouldn't know, but I'll take your word for it''
