He gazed around him and everyone seemed to be in a state of shock. Moira, who was right next to him, was clutching tightly to her throat. He had no idea what she was looking at, but he could tell it frightened her terribly. He went down on his knees and recited the most powerful protection spell he could remember. He even requested the protection of the goddess. Elliot was hissing continuously next to him and he could feel his magic being amplified before it shot straight out. It trapped the unknown entity within a magical haze. He stretched out both arms and gestured with his hands. The haze solidified and he muttered one final spell. There was a blinding light and his vision blurred out for a few seconds before he lost his consciousness and toppled to the ground. 9

Aurelius slipped out from the trance and he rushed toward his unconscious lover.

“Dylan! Come on! Wake up!”

“Aurelius!”

“He’s not waking up, Moira. What…”

“He’s alive. His aura is slightly weaker, but he’s fine.”
