Nemus halted on his steps and started regulating the heat inside his body. The flowing of the scorching energy produced a wisp of hot steam that even under the misty gale of the winter wind, the vapor that dispersed from his skin was so vivid.

It's been a week since he left the cave and he was already itching to return. Worried that Zethus and the female were already out of the sacred mist and she had no food to eat. Nemus clutched tightly on the items he was carrying, determined to be home this very day.

Unbeknownst to the fretting black snake, Atasha and his two brothers are already having a feast with sashimi and grilled water roaches that Zethus captured from the lower ground. 

The taste was far more savory than that of a lobster, so even Regalus who was skeptical to eat it at first willingly offered his salt and spices to get another bite.
