"Answer me, Andy, what happened? Who tried to hurt you? No..." he shook his head. " I am very stupid to ask that first. How are you? I am so sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed it most."

His concern and regret were palpable. 

Liu Xueyi let go of her chin and she found herself melting under his touch as he guided her head to his chest, his hand soothingly stroking her hair.

"I am so sorry, my love, please forgive me." He whispered into her ear, apologizing profusely while holding onto her tightly in an embrace.

She closed her eyes, savouring the comfort of his embrace, even though she knew there were important matters they needed to discuss.
