章節 27: Purging Chickens and Foxes!

Stone was sneakily moving between the tall grass, Beasts here only occupy areas with no grass which makes it easy for hunting, At least lvl ones.
He took his bow and started shaping the Arrow.
It takes him at least 5 seconds to shape one, and they disappear after 30 seconds, which is rather a disadvantage as he can't stack more than 3 at once.
Each mana arrow costs 1 mana point.
And if he wanted to increase the durability, Strength, as well as piercing power he can input more mana into it, But even though it will last longer it also takes time to shape it.
But well he first needs to try out its normal power.
fixing his posture, and breathing.
Stone focused his eyes on the weakest-looking Fox.
He aimed at its leg and shot the arrow.
With a *swifft* the arrow struck right on the little Fox's leg.
Stone didn't waste time and shot the other two arrows.
*Swiift* *Swifft* *Tsshk* *tshk*
"Screee!" The Fox jumped in pain as it let out a loud cry.
It then turned and gazed at Stone with killing intent... more like pity intent!
It had tears in its eyes.
He also struck the other Foxes, But as he didn't have much bow mastery he didn't hit their legs and they fled.
The only one left was quickly taken care of.
'Hmm, The piercing power of the arrows as well as their shape aren't perfect. I have to at least put 5 mana in every single one of them to take care of level 1 Beasts.'
'But, It will take much more time, My mana control mastery isn't that good yet, and even the [Mana Arrow] skill is still Level 1, My understanding of weapons is lacking too...'
'I can only use my imagination and current knowledge!'
'From what I read, Mana is the energy on the environment which can be used to cast magic spells, arrays, and so on, But anything else I can't remember...'
'It can have multiple uses, one of them nourishing the body, Enhancing it... And also for skills such as [Mana Arrow], [Mana Bullet], [Mana Armor].'
'But most importantly it can be used to make use of the Elements.'
'Meaning, I can use the Elements to make Elemental Arrow, as well as cast spells.'
'Mhm, Let's try that... How can I use Mana to command the Elements?'
{You can't do it currently, Host! You need the [Mage] Job, which can only be unlocked at level 10, 25% Mana Control Mastery, and you need to temper your mind to handle the magic chant!}
'Ooh, Too bad!'
'If only I had some kind of weapon that can automatically make arrows for me, Like a magic Bow? ... Shadow! Use [Mana Arrow]!'
Suddenly the Bow on Stone's hand started to vibrate and soon it was circulating its Mana, It was making arrows!

'Mhm, With Shadow here, I can increase my understanding speed by a huge margin!'
'Put 5 mana points on each Arrow! And hmm- that's it, you only have to make arrows when I'm close to the target while I'm still dashing towards them...'
'But first, let's strengthen your body with mana first, Circulate the mana through it and try to form a mana aura around it, I'll help you!'
Before Stone began searching for other prey, He started trying to strengthen his Shadow Bow.
Even with them both working on it, And both of their mana, They couldn't evade the trials and errors.

1 hour later,
Stone heaved a sigh of tiredness, He used quite a lot of mana just to slightly strengthen his Bow.
The previously Dark Bow now had threads of light blue mana in a circling motion, Its string was beaming with light and looked strangely sharp, But it can't hurt its user.
He discovered that it was impossible to form any kind of mana aura around the bow with his lacking understanding of Mana.
Other than his Mana Control Mastery that further increased by 0.5% nothing really changed, but he was happy with that.
'Later tonight I'll try and further strengthen the Bow with mana.'
'It might take a while to fully cover it in mana, But, It will be worth it!'
"Goddess, I want 5 Low-Grade Mana Potions!"
{Roger, Host! 100 F.C will be deducted.}
"No problem!"
5 seconds later, Space started to shake again, and yet another time a kind of distorted space portal opened up, A pretty large wooden box came out of it, and it disappeared.
Stone opened the box and found 5 finely made round bottles filled with a kind of bubbly Blue liquid.
He took one and drank it, It was sweet!
After a few minutes, his body started to feel chilly, then he sat down cross-legged and felt the mana in the air.
Due to the potion, the Mana in the air started to rush towards him at an astonishing speed, He felt his hungry body joyfully absorbing every single tiny orb of mana and after 5 minutes his mana bar was filled to the brim.
'If I didn't forget the Mantra, it would have been faster! Fortunately, I found out about the mana potions this morning...'
'Time to hunt again.'
Stone checked on his [World Map] and found a group of 5 Foxes nearby.
'About 3 minutes dashing! Just enough for 7 arrows... good enough... A stage 5 arrow lasts for about 2 minutes and a half, So we can start making 2 Stage 6 arrows, and then 3 Stage 5s, Let's add 2 in case anything unexcepted happens.'
And just like that, they started making Stage 6 arrows while dashing.
- Arrows stages are just a way to count the amount Mana points used on them (2 mana points --> Stage 2 arrows) -
3 minutes later, Stone was in front of the Foxes' group already aiming at one of them with his Stage 6 arrow.
*Swifft* *Swwift* *Swwfft* *Swwfft* *Swwwiwft*
Multiple air-screeching sounds were heard as the arrows struck the Foxes one by one, None was left out.
And with numerous *Plop*s they fell to the ground one by one.
Surprisingly, one single Fox didn't die yet.
It mustered its last breath trying to run.
*Swifft* *Tshk*
*plop*
'And done!' Stone then proceeded into collecting the bodies.
'6 Foxes in total!'
Then he searched for other prey yet again.
'3 Black Chickens, 2 minutes away, and 3 stage-7 arrows possibly craftable. Yup, Acceptable! Let's go!'
And with that Stone continued his hunting day.
