章節 2: Twin Spirits
After the ceremony he was tired so he returned to his room to sleep. When he arrived at his room, saying goodbye to his mother and father who accompanied him, he tried to invoke his spirit again.
The same golden pup appeared beside him "Woof!" it barked happily. "Come" the pup came. "Sit" the pup sat. "The leg," Xiagang said extending his right hand, the pup putting his left paw on his hand. Xiaogang smiled and stroked its head. He then went to his desk and opening some drawers took papers and a pen. "Let's see what I could learn about you, Luo San Pao. I will call you Pao from now on" Pao woofed.
After some time trying different things and inspecting the animal Xiaogang arrived at some conclusion. He started writing them.

Type
For start, the spirits are classified as tool or beast, with more groups then. Beast spirits are the ones that gave beast characteristics to the user. Tools are the ones invoked. For what it seems Pao, can't fuse with me discarding the beast spirit, so it must be a tool spirit. Tools spirits can be classified as plants, food, weapons being the more common, but I never listen about a beast one. I will call it Tool Beast.
Consumption
It's very strange, usually the invocation of a spirit and maintain it invoked cost spirit energy to the user, the first time wasting a lot of energy and being only able to use the spirit for short times. In Pao's case...

Xiaogang stopped writing, the pen seemed to run out of ink. Xiaogang looked at the pen with anger and threw it "Ahh, now I need to find another one" Xiaogang blamed looking at his left hand. At this moment he remembered the strange sensation at the Awakening Ceremony and tried to do it again. His left hand shined with golden light and on his left hand appeared a golden pen. It was a pretty pen with a white and strange pattern all along, it seemed costly.
"Another spirit?" he realized "I read about them". Xiaogang then run to the library. Once there, he started searching for a book while throwing away the wrong ones, until finally, he found a thin, green book named Twin Spirits "This is!" he shouted exited.
The book was about to recorded cases of Twin Spirits. It started saying that in both cases the person has a Full Innate Spirit Power. Xiaogang thought that maybe with two spirits the spirit absorption is improved, being easier to have Full Innate.
In one case, one man had 2 powerful spirits. The man decided to at each breakthrough absorb a spirit ring for each spirit, one ring was enough to breakthrough, but the second one booted his cultivation so he decided to put rings in both. As he could only use one spirit at a time, he decided one of them would go for pure power while the other would go for speed. When he arrived at rank 50 and absorbed two rings, he exploded.
"What!" Xiaogang couldn't help to shout, revising the text he saw that he read it correctly, the man exploded and died. Xiaogang decided to read the other case to have a better understanding.
The second case explained a woman with 2 spirits, one of them was powerful while the other was weak. She cultivated both spirits, the problem was when the weak spirit couldn't continue absorbing after the third ring. She decided to ignore the weak spirit and continued cultivating the powerful one, without much problem, accomplishing a high rank.
Xiaogang stood thoughtful "So in one case, you explode and in the other, it is like there weren't really twin spirits, it will be the same only having the stronger one". He wrote in a paper the word Twin with arrows to explosion and One. "There must be a better option. It could be that powerful energy doesn't combine well causing the explosion. They were also little idiots, only looking at the early gain, it won't be better to only cultivate one and then the other" He took one note that he wrote before.

Spirit Rings
Spirit Rings are essential for spirit masters, each time a spirit master arrives at the top of his realm, meaning 10, 20, 30... Then they will need a spirit ring to breakthrough to the next realm.
The spirit rings are obtained by killing spirits beast, every spirit beast when it dies a spirit ring manifest over it. This spirit ring can only be absorbed by the person that did the last shot and finally killed the beast, for support systems needing always help.
The spirit ring can be divided by their color, which represents the age of the beast and the power of the beast. The colors being:
White: less than 100 years.
Yellow: 100-999 years.
Purple: 1.000-9.999 years.
Black: 10.000-99.999 years
Red: 100.000 or more.
Each ring gave the spirit master a skill somewhat related to the beast and the spirit of the master. Each color carries a tremendous change in power.
The best configuration for spirit masters is 2 yellows, 2 purples, 4 blacks, and 1 red, increasing the age of the beast gradually. Not following this configuration and absorbing a too much older ring could cause an explosion and death of the spirit master.
NOTE FOR THE FUTURE: Specify more the limit of absorption of each rank.

"I need to study the ideal configuration in the future," Xiaogang said "Following this the limit in the age of the spirit ring depends on your rank, so it won't be the best to only focus in one spirit and then the other. In the second one, it may be possible to have 9 red rings!" He then frowned "But there is the problem of exploding" he scratched his head "Ahhhh. I need more information"
"YU XIAOGANG, what are you doing at this hour at the library?! Go to your room to sleep!" Yu Meng stood with an angry face at the library's room. Xiaogang looked to the window outside, realizing that it was night, knowing that his mother was angry when she used his full name, he lowered his head running to his room.
He laid on his bed and thought "Knowing the musclehead of my family, they won't let study my Twin Spirits, forcing me to cultivate both. I will better keep it a secret, at least from now. Tomorrow will be another day to investigate" "Woof!" He turned to Pao which followed Xiaogang all day without him taking into account to focus on his things.
Pao jumped to bed laying at Xiaogang's feet "Good night, Pao" Xiaogang said letting it there and falling asleep.
The next day just as he woke up, he went to his desk took some paper and invoked his Pen, continuing writing.

Consumption
… In Pao's case and in my Pen's case the spirit consumption seemed negligible. It will need more study and see how it will affect a spirit ring.
