"Cherish Turner."
"Hmm?" Suddenly called by her name, Cherish Turner looked up, her gaze meeting William Griffith's passionately warm eyes...
"If, I want you to take care of Lewis, would you be willing?"
To take care of Lewis? What does he mean? How would that even work?
William Griffith stared at Cherish Turner's guarded gaze, the original words he wanted to say could only be suppressed, afraid of frightening her, fearing she would flee from his protection forever.
"Don't you understand? Repaying your debt with labor means using your effort to pay off the debt."
Ah, Cherish understood now. He meant her to help take care of his child, to compensate for the mistake she made last time—although, she didn't consider it a mistake at all.
So this is what it meant to repay a debt by labor? She had thought...Ah, she really was letting her imagination run wild!
That said, if William Griffith really wanted her to repay her debt by offering her "body", she would never agree!
Fortunately, William Griffith was not such a pervert!
"What are you thinking about?" Her expressions were incredibly rich, it made him laugh seeing them.
"Huh? Nothing much. It's just babysitting, right? I'm willing. However, Mr. Griffith, we need to get one thing straight. The incident from last time, really wasn't my fault. I, well, am just helping you out of goodwill. You can't threaten me in the future. And, about the inflatable doll that you haven't returned, lemme consider it as a gift from me to you. But, please pay me for it."
Saying so, Cherish stretched out her hand asking William Griffith for money.
However, what he did was just patting her palm: "Let's talk about this after you soothe Lewis to sleep!"
Cherish glared at William Griffith in anger, grinding her teeth in frustration.
Luckily, Lewis soon became very well-behaved and gradually calmed down, fell asleep, but just would not let Cherish step away. His little hand tightly holding onto a corner of her clothing.
Seeing this, Cherish found herself with no other options.
What could she do? She still needed to go home!
"Mr. Griffith, I need to go home later, what about this..."
"Whether to let go or not is up to Lewis. If he doesn't let go, I can't do anything. You surely don't want to wake him up, do you?"

But her mom at home was pretty strict!
At this moment, William Griffith fetched two thousand yuan from his wallet, looked at Cherish and said, "If you stay overnight and accompany Lewis, I'll give you this money now."

Cherish was at a loss for what to choose.
She closed her eyes, steeled her heart, in the end, she chose the two thousand yuan. After all, the inflatable doll wasn't cheap. Hence, Cherish said, "Fine, I'll stay for tonight only. But, you are not allowed to enter the room I'm sharing with Lewis!"
"Don't worry, I won't go in."
Seeing how William Griffith was acting, Cherish finally abandoned her principles.
She took the money from William Griffith, then made a phone call home.
Soon, someone picked up.
"Hello?"
"Mom, I'm not coming home for dinner tonight, I have to work overtime at the company, might pull an all-nighter. You and dad don't need to wait up for me."
"Working overtime again, Cherish? Your father has already made dinner, he's waiting for you to come home!"
"I'm really busy, mom. You know, it's year-end now..."
After a few words with her mother, finally got her to accept it, only then could Cherish feel at ease about staying overnight.
