"The eggs are a little too burnt," Yuuya spoke again.
"Y-Yes, Cough* I think so as well," Marin was barely holding the smile on her face, this was bad.
'My image of a competent gal is crumbling (*It never existed),' Marin felt she had really messed up big time.
"But aside from that it is alright," Marin looked up at Yuuya in surprise after hearing that, Did he just say her food was alright?
It might not be much if this came from a normal person, but this was Yuuya.
'If he says it is alright then ...He ...likes It,' A chat she had with Apophis flashed through Marin's mind.
'If he says it's alright, he likes it,'
'He likes it ...He Freaking Likes It!!! Ohmigosh!!!! Yuuya likes the food I made for him, He's so cute when he acts like a Tsundere,' Marin's mood did a 180 and she looked extremely pleased with herself, she was in such a good mood that…
"If you want I'll make it for you every day~!!" Marin said with a smile brimming with happiness.
"No thank you," Yuuya answered back without delay and…
"Gah, Gah, Gah," Marin was once again stabbed by three knives making her cry invisible tears.
'Did he just reject me without even thinking about it?' Marin could only think about this as she finished her own plate.
And with that mood, they went back to watching anime, then after another half an hour.
'The design is done,' Yuuya looked at his notebook in which he had filled a good amount of pages for the costumes, he was checking if he had missed anything and suddenly.
"Did you finish the design already?" Marin was leaning over to see the notebook and…
"You always go way beyond," Marin felt a sense of oppression looking at the number of words packed into a single page.
"If you do it, you should give it your best," Yuuya said flatly and Marin grinned.
"Totes!" Marin could see that they were more than just empty words coming from him, he always went over the top, even watching the anime or playing the game the character came from.
'Would he have ever made cosplay costumes if it wasn't for me?' Marin thought about it since it was a question in her mind, well this wasn't the important question...
'Would we have ever met if I didn't forget to lock the shop door that day?' Marin was taken back to the first time she met him, it wasn't that far back.
It was fairly recent, but at that time she had a lot of fun cosplaying, eating, going out to an event, meeting some new people, and spending time in Yuuya's house doing nothing.
"Is there something wrong with the design?" Marin looked up from the notebook at Yuuya's question.
Marin was staring at the notebook while getting lost in her thoughts, so Yuuya thought she probably spotted something that seemed like a problem.
"No, nothing is wrong, in fact, it is so good that it makes me wanna go out," Marin smiled and stood up.
"Go out?" Yuuya seemed to already dislike the idea even though his voice and face barely changed.
"Yes, let's go and buy the materials now," Marin pulled Yuuya up from the sofa.
"How about another time?" Yuuya wanted to try and relax like he wanted to since it was Sunday but, well most of the day has already passed.
"Let's do our best as you said," Marin pulled Yuuya towards the entrance of the house.
'Maybe I should speak lesser going forward,' Yuuya thought while they reached the door.
'Well, if I finish getting all of the materials today …yeah, that will get me a lot of free time later,' Yuuya thought as he looked at Marin.
"Come on you're so slow," Marin opened the door and then grabbed his hand once more to pull him out of the door.
'I'll do my best …To make you fall in love with me,' Marin smiled looking at the sun as they reached the road.
But before Marin could continue with her inner monologue…
"Marin I need to lock the door first," Yuuya's flat voice came from behind making Marin stop dead in her tracks.
"…"
'I got a little too pumped, didn't I?' Marin looked at Yuuya as he went back to lock the door.
***
After locking the door and getting everything they'll need, Marin and Yuuya left the house for the station.
They reached their destination which was Ikebukuro after a 30-minute ride on the train, now they were currently looking at the large number of people walking in and out of the station. It is after all one of the busiest stations in Tokyo and the fact that it was a weekend didn't help much either.
Yuuya and Marin then made it to their first destination, which might also be their last today since this place housed most of the shops they needed to visit.
"This cloth is so soft, Yuuya use this," Marin showed Yuuya the cloth she liked.
"The material is too thick, But if you want to have a heatstroke go for it," Yuuya replied while looking at the other types of cloths in front of him, he needed a few different types this time.
"That's not gonna happen 'cause I am strong, you know I didn't even break a sweat last time," Marin flexed her biceps a little trying to make her case.
"Rejected," Yuuya didn't even look up a second time.
"Aw, Shucks," Marin went back and placed the cloth in its former place.
'I'll go look for buttons,' Marin took out the phone to see the photos she took of Yuuya's design and saw the buttons that would be needed for the outfits.
Marin had taken the photos in order to send them to Sajuna, she wanted the latter to know the design was ready, or more precisely.
Juju-sama- It is already done? (* This is what Marin saved her number as, ALso she took the number from Yuuya's phone.)
- Yep, isn't he amazing!!
Juju-sama- But aren't there too many details?
-This is very helpful, with this even someone with no knowledge can buy the materials easily.
Juju-sama- I can see that, are you two out shopping now?
-Yep
Marin looked over her shoulder and saw Yuuya was choosing some threads right now. But then she heard the notification sound.
Juju-sama- I see, just be careful.
-Haha, don't worry we won't go over the budget
Juju-sama- I just find it hard to believe that you can have that kind of quality with such a budget.
-Right? I guess it is just talent.
Juju-sama- Maybe, anyway bye.
-Bye Juju-sama.
-Juju-sama- Ugh…
Marin hummed while putting the phone into her jeans pocket. She was in a happy mood, and it was hard to pinpoint what was the reason for it.
"Yuuya what do you think about this lace?" Marin brought a black lace with her that would be used in her outfit.
"Put it in the basket," Yuuya nodded after seeing the lace and Marin happily placed it in the basket.
"I am going to look for the Epaulette now," Marin skipped away happily once again as Yuuya continued on to the next item.
"Hey, aren't they cute?" The salesperson whispered to her fellow worker as they have been watching Yuuya and Marin for a while now.
"Yeah, I can feel my fatigue fade away,"
"Me too,"
It has been all for the shops they have been to, it was the same for some customers who were shopping at these stores.
Marin's bright smile and Yuuya's deadpan look was a combination that stood out a lot. And the fact that most of the customers here were women also didn't help.
(*Ikebukuro is a place like Akihabara for otakus, but more prominently targeted at females, they like their romance, So shoujo, BL, GL, you'll find everything here, Especially BL there is no shortage of those [As unfortunate as it is].)
"Wow, we almost got everything," Marin looked at the bags in Yuuya's hands, they had shopped for most of the materials needed for the costumes very quickly.
Everything was in perfect harmony until…
"Let's go home,"
"Let's look around!!"
There was a conflict of interest.
"We should go home it is already 5 P.M."
"Yuuya it is very rare that one gets a chance to visit Ikebukuro on a Sunday, let's go I know some places that you'll like," Marin said while shaking her head.
"Like what?" Yuuya asked thinking Marin was joking.
"The Sweet Street," Marin answered with a smile.
"...Let's make good use of this rare opportunity and look around Sweet Street," Yuuya nodded, his voice plain as ever.
"Let's," Marin said happily and the conflict of interest was resolved as fast as it appeared.
And as the two of them were about to go they heard a voice getting louder by the second.
"Yooooouuuuuuuuu ssssttttttttoooooopppppp!!(You stop!!)"
Marin looked behind in surprise as the heavy footsteps stopped behind her.
"You, be a model for our shoot," A man with a height of nearly 6 feet and a muscular body to match it shouted looking at…
"I refuse," Yuuya answered looking over his shoulder.
And just like that another conflict has been triggered.
