Her thin fingers were separating the group of free tendrils while combing the tangled ones. A brooding frown was settled in between her brows, whereas lips were pressed firmly to cage the yelp and frustrating screams building at the back of her throat. Oh, how she wanted to rip these long tresses from the roots. The task was as hard as sweeping the water back in the ocean from the shores. Her eyes were vividly focused on the teeth of the comb plunging itself gently in the bunch and struggling with the big knots. Accidentally she pulled hard, sending painful jolts to the scalp. A tear slipped from the brown orb, remembering how she has never done such jobs. Her friend and personal caretaker, Katherine used to commit all the impossible of Valentina’s dictionary with ease. The young maid hardly complained about the messy and wild hairs other than chiding the naïve princess over the elegant appearance.
