As I stood there staring at Killian's disappearing back, I heard a whisper close to my ear. "Amelia, he's gone. You can stop staring...." 

Goosebumps arose all over my skin, and I looked back at Arlo. Seeing that he was still holding my hand, I pulled my hand from his grip. Thankfully, this time, he let it go. "Arlo, what on earth are you doing? Have you lost your mind?" I questioned, feeling a mixture of anger and confusion.

Last night, he had crossed the line by sneaking into my room and kissing me on the forehead, and now he was doing it again. I realized that I had to put an end to this before things went too far.

Arlo smiled at me. "Amelia, you look scared. Am I scary? Or is it because of what I had done last night?" he asked.
