The next morning when Roger woke up, the silhouette beside his pillow was gone. It wasn't long after he got up that Henrik's call came through.
"I'll come get you in a bit, we're heading back to Bordeaux."
"Aren't we going to follow up on the leads here?"
Roger asked.
"We've been searching for over half a month and haven't found any clues. She has likely already left this place. Let's head back to Bordeaux for now, there's been a bit of trouble at the Hunters Guild."
A jolt went through Roger's heart.
"Don't worry, it has nothing to do with the Voodoo Association. If nothing unexpected happens, the influence of the Voodoo Association in Bordeaux should be completely eradicated."
"It's not clear over the phone; we'll talk about it on the way back."
There wasn't much to pack. After a short wait downstairs, Henrik picked him up in his car.
