Weeks later.
*WHOOSSSH!*
Two beams of light streaked across the starry sky, illuminating the land below them. One, a golden coloured light that encased the figure of a handsome golden haired, winged man, with a relaxed smile.
The other was a dark coloured streak of light that encased a hyperventilating handsome youth with black wings. His body was covered in sweat and he looked like he drop out of the skies any moment.
"Hey…wait mmm."
He stretched out his hand wanting to reach out to the golden haired young man however he covered his mouth feeling his innards convulse for a moment, before he dropped out of the skies in exhaustion.
*BANG!*
His body crashed into the ground and formed a small crater, as he took in deep gulps of air in exhaustion.
*SWOOSH!*
The golden haired young man appeared beside him and squatted near him, watching his friend/ student in contempt.
"It's been weeks and yet , you can't catch up to me at such mundane speeds. " He scoffed and stretched his waist before retracting his wings into his back.
"Oh well, you are human after all." Samael laughed and then waved his hand conjuring a small cup within his hand, before he moved his finger filling by the cup to the brim with water.
"Here.."
He handed it over to Alan who looked like his heart was bursting out of his chest. He gulped the water hurriedly and struggled to prop himself up to sit down.
*DONG!*
The dharma wheel rotated once, and his as if time had reminded on his body, he was quickly restored to a better state, even feeling lighter than before.
"Screw you. You call that mundane speed? My heart felt like it would burst out of my chest. Who knew flying could be so exhausting!"
Alan complained, as always, while Samael merely chuckled at his plight.
"Mundane is even an overstatement for the term. I can move at speeds far beyond light itself and even I'm not considered as the fastest Angel yet."
Samael laughed pridefully, while Alan looked at him in shock.
"So you mean you weren't even trying, yet I still couldn't reach you?" Alan lowered his head in dejection.
"Sigh. Listen here Alan. You might be human, but you have potential that surpasses even mine. With the right guidance, you could become as powerful as I am or even more.."
Samael patted his shoulder encouragingly and smiled. In his eyes, Alan was probably the purest soul he had ever met. His innocence was fascinating yet endearing, capable of tugging the strings of even the most hardened hearts. Maybe he just wanted to help him out. Maybe he just wanted a friend to talk to or maybe he saw himself in the young mortal, an innocence which he once possessed. Watching him smile towards him, Samael couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his heart and there, he made a vow to protect this innocence from the degradation of mundane existence.
"You mean I could create a whole multiverse on my own and become a God?!" Alan quickly rose to his feet and looked at the Angel expectantly who couldn't help but sigh.
"Let's just focus on your overall strength and speed and maybe some useful abilities. Remember it's a step by step process." Samael patted his shoulder, as Alan nodded heavily.
"Even at moving at speeds faster than light, you claim not to be the fastest? Who then is the fastest? I don't see anyone topping speeds faster than light.." Alan rubbed his head and asked with a curious expression.
"That will be my brother, Gabriel. He is the fastest amongst all of us. He can move from one end of the multiverse to another less than a second. Just see him as a person who is able to ignore distance when he walks.."
Samael spoke with his hands on his chin, as Alan nodded and clenched his fists in determination.
"Okay, for the next thing. I want to impart to you some useful abilities in case some idiots try to attack you in my absence, but first I need to determine the level of strength you possess."
He said and pointed his palm towards him.
"But who'll try to hurt me? I mean no one should want to incur the wrath of the Morningstar by harming me right?" Alan joked, but Samael shook his head.
"I might be powerful, but there are those who wish for my demise. And should they succeed, you should be able to protect yourself." Samael replied with a stern look.
Alan nodded and punched with all of his might, however Samael did not move an inch. Alan on the other hand felt like he had smashed his fist into diamond. The bones in his arm shattered into dust and his arm exploded sending sprays of blood flying all over.
Samael shook his head and waved his finger, healing him back to his original state, as Alan wiped the sweat off his forehead.
"So what ability are you going to teach me first hmm? A bankai or a kamehameha or how about I am atomic."
An excited Alan began to list his catalogue of abilities, while Samael rolled his eyes.
"Fortunately, I have no idea what any of those mean. But let's start with the basic, energy manipulation." Samael spoke and waved his hand, summoning a drop of golden viscous liquid which he manipulated to move right into Alan's solar plexus.
The moment it entered, the dharma wheel rotated once, and Alan could feel the mysterious power flow to all parts of his body. As it rotated for the second time, he could feel his muscles and skeleton feed on the mysterious energy, and on the third rotation, his cells completely absorbed the energy, and adapted to it, making it a part of his being while granting him immunity to it.
"It feels almost magical."
Alan opened his eyes that were filled with golden light.
"Good. Your adaptive abilities are impressive. I was counting on that, otherwise, you would've died."
Samael laughed and patted his shoulders, before he gestured to him to follow along.
"Haha…wait what?"
Alan laughed at first, but as he realised the gravity of the situation his jaw dropped.
"What did you expect? Divinity and mortality can never truly become one. How we your adaptive abilities have made this possible." Samael lectured as he listened.
"Okay then, energy manipulation, or in our case, divine energy manipulation, is a fundamental aspect of our abilities. One of the important facts about energy is that you can change to whatever form you want. The only limit is your imagination."
Samael spoke and gestured to him to try something out.
"You want me to try something out? Sure."
Alan cracked his neck and knuckles and got into a stance, mimicking one of his favourite anime characters.
"Arghhhh!"
He suddenly clenched his fists and screamed out, summoning a massive beam of golden energy which burst out of his body and exploded into the surroundings, ripping apart everything in its path.
"Hehehe." After a while he laughed and stopped himself while looking at Samael who looked stoic as always.
"You think flaring your energy is impressive? I expected much more, Alan." Samael scoffed and waved his hand, summoning millions upon millions of extremely life like golden swords behind him which filled the sky.
'Damn. That's like the gates of Babylon' Alan thought and closed his eyes, trying to summon his energy to do same, however he failed miserably and raised his head towards Samael who only sighed.
"Of course you won't be able to do it all on the first try." The Angel nearly facepalmed as Alan stood up and got into a stance, ready to follow all instructions.
