章節 906: Chapter 617 Morbid Crisis (Six)_3

"What's the name of the person who introduced you here?" Constantine asked.

"I'm not sure, but others call him Old Man..."

Constantine nodded, then poured a glass of water for Angela, gesturing her to sit on the sofa, while he seated himself across from her, asking: "So, what troubles have you encountered?"

Angela opened her mouth, seemingly quite uncomfortable, but after much hesitation, she finally spoke:

"A month ago, my twin sister committed suicide."

"Condolences, but I'm sorry, I can't resurrect anyone." Constantine pursed his lips, titled his head, picked up the glass of water and took a sip, saying, "If that's your request, I am powerless."

"Not at all!" Angela raised her voice to say: "My sister was a devout believer, she knew committing suicide meant not being able to ascend to Heaven. Therefore, she would absolutely not commit suicide!

"But..." Angela's voice became somewhat shaky: "I've solved numerous murder cases, but I couldn't find a single clue in my sister's case, I don't know who killed her..."

Then, she took several deep breaths, picked up the glass and gulped down some cool water. After calming down, she looked at Constantine and revealed her secret:

"My twin sister and I, since birth, have been able to see things that ordinary people cannot, some... extremely terrifying things."

"What do you mean by terrifying things? Ghosts?"

"No, I think, those are just illusions. But my sister spoke of these illusions, so my family had her confined in a mental hospital, yet she..."

Constantine slowly stood up, then said: "You mean, both you and your sister could see certain things, she spoke of them, but you didn't, so your family deemed her insane, had her committed to a mental hospital, and there, she committed suicide."

"Because you believe she was a devout believer. A follower of faith wouldn't commit suicide because that would mean they wouldn't be able to ascend to Heaven, thus, you came to me to investigate your sister's death."

Constantine summed it all up so accurately that Angela didn't even know what to say. Her emotions were somewhat fluctuating, therefore she didn't notice that Constantine had already circled behind her.

Constantine leaned on the back of the sofa, bending over, lowering his head, bringing his face close to Angela's ear, until his golden hair fell beside Angela's temple.

In the instant Angela tried to dodge, Constantine reached out his hand from behind, clutching Angela's neck with a death grip, magic flames surging from his hand.

"Well-told story, tell me, who are you? Where are you from? Heaven or Hell? When did we make a deal?"

Angela struggled desperately, proving her worth as an experienced police detective. Standing up from the sofa, she flipped to the other side of the sofa. When she was dragged to the ground by Constantine, she grabbed his ankle with force and made him stumble, freeing herself from his grip.

Constantine hit the door frame, but he quickly waved his hand, and a ghost emerged from the business card he had given to Angela, which she had put in her pocket. Angela reacted swiftly, leaping back to avoid the ghost's attack.

But suddenly, she covered her mouth as uncontrollable nausea surged up. She vomited a stream of sticky black goo- the water that Constantine had given her earlier.

Eventually, Angela ended up hunched on the floor, the last thing she saw was Constantine, looking down at her from his superior height, lighting a cigarette.
