章節 2921: Chapter 2090: Knight's Night of Shock (32)_1

Peter didn't come unprepared into a strange world. Any good student would understand the need to revise diligently before an exam and prepare all stationery within the permitted parameters.

For this, he even went to find Kingpin.

Kingpin's work focus is no longer on Earth. This heavyweight criminal genius was found frequently in and out of Asgard's Fairy Palace, Kamar-Taj Palace, Time Management Bureau Director's Office, and Arkham Sanatorium.

Of course, it's not to say that all the above forces are backing Kingpin to stir up trouble in the interstellar society; it's just part of the human developmental process to adopt and integrate various perspectives.

As to why a crime wave sweeps through certain star zones each time Kingpin visits, one can only blame inefficiencies in interstellar security. What does a human mob boss know, anyway?

When Peter Parker found Kingpin, the latter was quite surprised. Ever since more Spider-Men appeared in New York, Kingpin had hardly stayed on Earth to avoid being constantly harassed. Therefore, few Spider-Men could find him.

Peter also brought a gift that Kingpin found intriguing - "Gotham Travel Notes", written by a former Spider-Man.

This former Spider-Man, who had been to Gotham, published blog posts on the Spider App. Anyone who wasn't a Spider-Man had virtually no chance of seeing them.

Kingpin was astonished on his first read. He never imagined a place with a more fertile environment for crime than New York. Whose territory was this?

Upon careful inspection, Kingpin indeed found some clues.

Here, we must talk about Kingpin as an individual.

Kingpin's achievements may not be impressive, but his greatest strength is that, apart from Spider-Man, all his opponents are tough fellows like the Night Devil and Punisher.

His crime empire has managed to stand firm in New York, a place riddled with chaos, for many years. He has been defeated multiple times, yet always manages to make a comeback. This shows just how gifted he is at crime.

When it comes to persisting in traditional crime in an era dominated by superheroes, Kingpin could shine even in Gotham. His unique attribute, compared to the maniacs in Gotham, is that he is not a fan of anyone; he pursues wealth for its own sake.

Lack of love doesn't breed love-caused hatred. He naturally wouldn't devote excessive attention to petty conspiracies. People who are solely driven by money are invincible. Purity brings strength.

As for who in Gotham would click the best with Kingpin, it would definitely be Penguin Man, who has the smallest 'Batman filter' and the most pronounced 'money filter'.

Penguin Man was astonished by the plan. It was so ingenious that it was as if he'd found a kindred spirit.

Penguin Man was awestruck for another reason - this proposal wasn't plagiarized by Peter. It was specifically tailored by Kingpin.

Kingpin first learned about the general situation in Gotham from "Gotham Travel Notes", then heard Peter's analysis of the book, added his own understanding and finally wrote this proposal.

Although parts of it were written at the spur of the moment, other parts showed brilliance. As Kingpin himself would say, given the same conditions, he might not be able to write it as well next time.

Penguin Man didn't know that Peter was from another universe, let alone that this youngster, who looked no different from the hot-blooded young heroes, had found a criminal mastermind to ghostwrite for him.

So he was very surprised. Producing a piece like this would require 20 to 30 years of criminal experience. Both the structure and the wording were incredibly exquisite, making him wonder if the author was a godfather.

But how could he have not heard of such a person?

That's when he heard Peter say mysteriously, "Mr. Oswald, you should know better than me, what's sanctioned by the law is called crime, what isn't, isn't anything."

Penguin Man stared at Peter. Why did this sound so wrong coming from him?

Was Peter using his own words?

Something was definitely off.

Peter Parker gave Penguin Man a strange feeling. No matter how you looked at it, he was one of those hot-blooded youth heroes who talked about justice every day.

But what he did was completely different from his image and temperament. Even when acknowledging this, he felt no shame or guilt. It was as if he were a person whose moral standards had been completely twisted.

He believed that he was upholding justice, but his standards for justice were completely distorted.

People like him weren't found on the street every day. To achieve this effect required early cultivation. So, who cultivated him?

Initially, Penguin Man suspected that Peter was a product of Scarecrow. But as an inmate of Arkham Asylum, wouldn't Penguin Man know how skilled Scarecrow was?

If Jonathan Crane could write such a plan, Penguin Man, the leader of the Oswald family, would give up his position for Crane.

A chilling conjecture then crossed Penguin Man's mind - the plan was written by Batman, and Peter Parker was trained by Batman.
