After bidding farewell to her grandfather and Old Master Yang, Xia Lihua left the Xia family household and made her way to the waiting car.
"Xu Shou, drive to a nearby bakery shop."
Xia Lihua glanced out of the window, watching the familiar streets pass by in a blur, but her mind was elsewhere.
Xia Lihua had initially entertained the idea of baking homemade cookies, but her culinary skills left much to be desired. Cooking was one of the things she was not good at.
Arriving at the bakery, she stepped out of the car. The inviting scent of freshly baked goods enveloped her senses as she entered the quaint bakery. The shelves were lined with an array of delicious treats.
"I'll take a box of your finest cookies, please," she said to the baker behind the counter.
The baker quickly passed a box of chocolate cookies to her.
