Qin Ran's words made sense. 

She had been Xia Mengrui's backup singer in the previous round.

Xia Mengrui's threatening face eased a bit. "Still, how could you choose Xia Lihua for your team? Fu Heng selected a bouquet of roses for me to sing!"

"For you to sing? You, of all people, can't even carry a tune," Qin Ran sneered, her tone dripping with disdain. 

"Yah! Are you purposely trying to tick me off?" Xia Mengrui pounced at Qin Ran, grabbing her shirt and jerking her. "Aren't you afraid that I'll expose how you slept with the CEO of Xing Jing Entertainment?"
