Chapter 1: Demi and Blake
Blake woke up to the sound of a crying baby. Something was wrong! There was no way he was in a room with an infant. Hell would have to freeze over before that happens. He opened his eyes slowly, there was a big chance he had been drugged with a hallucinogenic because he was actually seeing a baby in a baby bed and for some reason his nightmare got worst when he realized that he was in a strange looking ghetto dump and he had no idea how he got there.
"Okay! Calm down, Blake! There is no way there is an infant in your room and you are…why the hell am I sounding like this?! Stop! No stop!"
Blake stood up and peeked at the infant on the cot. He recognized the baby.
"Noah? What the fu…"
His voice trailed off as he searched for a mirror and found one in the bathroom. Blake's eyes widened and he screamed out loud frightening Noah.
He grabbed the infant and held him up high. "What the fudge did your evil mother do to me? A little warning buddy, I am going to kill her"
Blake rushed out of the room with Noah and He managed to find his way to the reception. He met an older woman with a frown sitting at the front desk in the local motel.
"What is going on?" He asked the woman.
"Are you on crack, Honey?" the woman asked him.
"No! I need you to call the police. I have a crime to report" Blake dropped Noah on the counter carelessly forcing the woman to steady the child.
"What crime? I told you to keep your door locked when you checked in"
"No! You don't understand, my name is Blake Rivera and for some reason I don't know yet but plan to find out, I have boobs!"
The woman rubbed her forehead and yawned "They don't pay me enough for the crazy I am getting here. What did you take exactly that makes you think you are the richest man in Manhattan, ma'am?"
"Don't call me Ma'am, I am a man!"

Three days earlier
Demi was let inside by the security guard. She could barely stand upright. She yawned, and realized a little bit too late that she should have covered her mouth. She rubbed her eyes drowsily and pushed on towards the elevator when the security guard stopped her.
"It's under maintenance. You have to take the stairs"
Demi blinked "But the CEO's office is on the seventh floor and it's almost…" She quickly checked her wristwatch "Shit! It's almost 4 a.m"
"What do you want me to say, Demi? It's either you've magically grown some wings or you take the stairs" The security guard everyone called old man Joe told her.
Demi looked at the older man. He was just as tired as her and he was not privy to information regarding the elevator either. He was just an old security man working two jobs to make ends meet.
"Alright, Joe. And…how is Mateo, is he done teething?"
"I don't know… I am so tired when I finally get home that to be honest I don't know how many children I have, Demi. And Mateo, he is the last one right? And how old is he?"
Demi tried to suppress a snicker, was old man Joe asking her about his child's age?
"He is seven months old, Joe. Just a month younger than my Eveleigh" Demi told him
"Is that the name of your dog?" Old man Joe asked her.
Demi dimmed her eyes, it was more from surprise than exhaustion or maybe it was a little bit of both. "Wait, what?! Eveleigh is not a dog; she is my niece, old man Joe"
"Oh my bad, Sorry, Demi….I just need sleep" old man Joe murmured and went back to his post. Demi guessed it was to take a brief nap.
She pulled her hair up as she got closer to the stairs. Letting out a breath, she opened the door and started climbing. It took about ten minutes to get to the CEO's office.
Demi was sweating profusely by the time she got there but she didn't have time to waste and she needed to get home in time to slip into bed before her boyfriend notice she was gone.
She packed up the last document that was littered on the table and shoved them into the file cabinet. The CEO's office was on the seventh floor of the third tallest skyscraper in Manhattan New York City – Rivera Conglomerate.
Demi looked around the Office she has been cleaning for the better part of the month for the first time. On the wall behind her was a big china luxurious office cabinet that for some reason was in her favorite color burnt orange. She was about to do more snooping when her phone rang and it was best friend, Charity Jerome.
"Aren't you supposed to be having one of your short nap, Char?"
"Everleigh decided that I don't need it after all. I swear she's been crying every five minutes and sometimes, I wonder how her tiny body could produce such a piercing earth shattering scream, Demi. So, what are you doing?"
Demi turned around and stared at the burnt orange cabinet that housed the achievements of the man she has never seen.
"I am currently starring at what could be described as Blake Rivera's wall of obnoxiousness. I mean I get it, he is successful but that doesn't give him the right to show it off!"
"Um-hmm, so I guess you have not gotten around to telling Jackson, the man you live with that you were laid off and can't afford half the luxurious expenses you are incurring" Charity guessed.
Demi's silence answered the question for her.
"Demi! You can't hide the truth forever or be a maid to the high and mighty of Manhattan forever"
"I know it just that I don't know how to tell Jackson that I am kinda – sorta- really jobless at the moment. We are a perfect fit for each other, he doesn't want marriage or kids or more commitment than I am willing to give plus he is rich too" Demi told her friend.
"You should – damn I have to go, Everleigh is up again. We will finish this conversation another time, bye!"
After Charity hung up, Demi decided to take a deep relaxing breath before she started cleaning. The flight of stairs she climbed was taking a toll on her body
******************
Old man Joe stood up from his seat when he heard the sound of the boss's car drive inside. He checked his watch and it was a few minute pass 7 in the morning. He briefly thanked the lord that he wasn't caught sleeping on duty and briefly wondered why Demi didn't wake him up on her way out of the office but he ended up focusing on the good news, the next shift was starting in an hour so he could go home and get some rest. He watched curiously as the CEO stepped into the general area with two older men, he knew that one was Jack Willows, the CEO's soon to be father in law but the other man remained unknown
"Good morning, Master Blake"
The CEO barely acknowledged his presence as he and his guest made their way to the elevator. Old man Joe wanted to point out that the elevator was down but before he could the door opened and they stepped inside.
"Huh, guess they fixed it" old man Joe murmured and went back to his duty post.
Blake Rivera and his guest entered his office to find a surprise and not the good type waiting for him. A girl he had never met before wasn't sitting on his more than 10 grand Wegner Swivel's Chair and worst she was currently drooling on his equally expensive table.
"Blake, I believe there is a girl sleeping in your office"
Blake turned to watch his soon to be father in law, a man he liked just as much as he loved a good snake bite and he flashed him a smile. "Thanks Jack. I believe I can see that for myself. The good thing is that the document you need is right over here"
