章節 59: Chapter 59 - Fear and Uncertainty

The three young mages peered through the dense foliage, their eyes widening as they caught sight of more and more skeletons emerging from the shadows. Ezekiel's voice held a note of concern as he whispered to his friends,

"We may be in over our heads. This mage must be powerful if he commands such a formidable army of skeletons."

"Fuck this!"

Cardian thought in his mind as he was getting scared for real.

Leyla's gaze darted nervously from one skeleton to another, her voice trembling slightly as she replied, "We need to be careful. We don't know what we're dealing with here."

Ezekiel and Cardian looked at Leyla with judging eyes. They did not need these words at all. It was clear that they needed to be careful.

Cardian's brow furrowed as he assessed the situation, his tone filled with a mix of determination and caution. "We can't afford to back down now or show weakness of any kind; we are dark mages, and we are dealing with a strong, mysterious dark mage."

"It is more than likely that other parties have bad intentions."

As they thought, they kept on walking. The skeletons followed them; they did not know, but they were already in a circle. At this point, there was no escape.

As they cautiously approached the entrance of the Dark Archive, their senses heightened, aware of the tension in the air. Skalain, observing from a distance, couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

. "They're just kids," he thought, a mixture of concern and realization coursing through his mind. "Inexperienced and unaware of the dangers"

Skalain was aware of the fact that he was not that experienced in the mage world, but this does not mean that he was inexperienced in real life.

He believes that Earth has its own evils, and there are many things that one can learn from experience that may very well work on this world too. In the end, they were both

As the mages ventured closer, the skeletons took notice, their empty eye sockets fixed upon the newcomers. Skalain's gaze remained fixed on them, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.

Ezekiel, Leyla, and Cardian took a collective deep breath.

The sight of the imposing entrance before them sent a shiver down their spines.

As they stepped closer, Skalain watched with a mix of apprehension and admiration. "They possess a certain bravery, venturing into the unknown," he murmured, acknowledging their courage despite their naivety.

Finally, the mages reached the threshold, standing on the precipice of a world veiled in darkness and secrets. The sight of the skeletons surrounding them was both awe-inspiring and intimidating, a visual reminder of the power held within the depths of the Dark Archive.

Ezekiel, his voice steady but laced with a hint of trepidation, called out to the skeletons. "We seek an audience with the master of these skeletons."

The skeletons, motionless and silent, seemed to regard the mages with a mix of curiosity and detachment. Skalain, hidden in the shadows, listened intently, wondering what would transpire next.

The air seemed to hold its breath as the silence stretched on, each passing second fraught with anticipation. The mages and the skeletons stood in an uneasy stalemate, a delicate balance between fear and curiosity.

Suddenly, a deep, resonating voice resonated.

"Step forward, youngsters."

Ezekiel, Leyla, and Cardian exchanged a glance, their eyes reflecting a combination of uncertainty and fear. With a shared nod, they took a collective step forward, crossing the threshold and entering 2 km of border Dark archive. They were on a great plain, leaving the forest.
