章節 39: Chapter 38

Yuta was in a great dilemma as he continued to walk towards the big stage, which was formed by the merging of the four arenas. The last two techniques he had acquired were more powerful than any of his techniques except the slashing technique.

The technique from the silver prize was a technique he had seen before in bleach anime. After wrapping his hand with spiritual power, he could use a long-range attack similar to zero but with much less power. No matter how weak this technique seemed in the bleach anime, Yuta had learned its power from the information that had been imprinted in his mind.

If he had a large enough amount of spiritual power, he could probably balance a tailed beast bomb using Bala.

The real problem began with the second technique he had acquired; the Reverse Cursed Technique. If he was seen using this technique by the Hokage, the Hokage would probably think that the healing of the first Hokage's wounds was similar to the healing of his wounds and would take him as a disciple.

Well, it must be admitted that the love between Hiruzen and Danzo is not as strong as the ownership of a possible second Hashirama. The problem is that if this technique is used at a special moment, it will save lives. But if it is used now, instead of at a special moment, likely, the people of Konoha will not be the only ones to witness the technique.

If the spy ninjas find out about his extraordinary regenerative abilities, the consequences could be dire. Yuta used to be a genius who should be destroyed at worst, but now he will be a test subject to be kidnapped in the eyes of other villages.

Yuta found himself habitually chewing his fingernails as he thought about these possibilities. When the referee ninja saw him absentmindedly standing in the corner of the arena chewing his nails, he turned his head in confusion toward the Hokage. Fortunately, Yuta cleared his thoughts and turned to the referee as if nothing was wrong and asked when the battle would begin.

As the referee prepared to start the contest, Yuta realized that his opponent was a girl from the Hyuga clan. Although he didn't watch the battles in general, he was already in the semifinals and he thought that a Hyuga who had climbed this far would be no weaker than the boy from before.

This time it should not be like the previous battle. He had to defeat his opponent not by exhausting his opponent but by displaying his skills. Just like a member of the Nara clan, he had to use his skills so efficiently that he would be unforgettable in the eyes of the Hokage.

At the same moment, the referee signaled the start of the battle, and the girl from the Hyuga clan approached Yuta and extended her hand. "My name is Hyuga Hikata, I don't think I can beat you because of the techniques you just used, so I have a favor to ask of you."

Yuta looked at the white-eyed girl with long hair and after thinking for a while he decided to listen to her words. After all, the way she spoke was very kind. "I'm listening Hikata-san, my name is Yuta."

The girl looked very timid as she asked Yuta to fight her using only pure taijutsu. Looking at her shy demeanor, Yuta forgot her current age and thought she was a cute little girl. Besides, her offer was quite reasonable:

The girl told Yuta some information she had learned from her own father. This girl's father was the head of one of the top side families in the Hyuga clan and her grandfather was an elder of the clan. Her father told her that the most important part of today's competition was not the ranking you got in the competition, but the skills you showed in the competition. In other words, according to the girl, if Yuta fought her for five minutes using only taijutsu, she would be able to join a new special class and would owe Yuta a big favor. She also promised Yuta that even if she beat him in taijutsu, she would give up.

Yuta hesitated for a moment before accepting her offer, saving the showcasing of his skills for the final match.

As Yuta and the girl moved away from each other, the referee waited out of the corner of his eye for permission from the Hokage and when he saw him nod, he started the match.

______________ A few minutes later

After Yuta was knocked down hard once more, he gritted his teeth in anger and ran at the girl in front of him, his fist covered in red flames. Hikata smoothly redirected Yuta's fist in another direction and then moved to strike the off-balance Yuta in the face with her own fist, but for a split second she stopped her fist in front of Yuta's face and with a simple kick she knocked him down and stepped back. Yuta was unconsciously becoming enraged and wanted to use his abilities to put this little demon girl in her place, but he couldn't because she wouldn't even punch him.

At first, he didn't fight with all his might, giving the girl a chance to showcase herself, but as time went on he increased the amount of power he used to show the Hokage that he was also skilled in taijutsu, but he was faced with a reality.

The martial arts technique used by Hyuga Hikate neutralized Yuta's physical superiority. That's why Yuta looked like a little boy with weak fists to almost everyone.

The voices of the villagers who supported Yuta, thinking that Yuta had overwhelming strength compared to other children, had already disappeared. All the villagers watched Yuta fall to the ground again and again, oblivious to the agreement between Yuta and Hikata.

Yuta looked up at the sky and took a deep breath, then slowly stood up. This time, his plan was to make an unexpected attack with a wide-sweeping kick while pretending to punch, and not to get too close to the girl. Analyzing her martial arts, he deduced that the closer he got to her, the more easily she could make small physical contact with him and throw him off balance. But if he kicked her hard without getting too close, Hikata would be thrown out of bounds as he was suppressed in both speed and strength.

As red flames appeared on Yuta's hands again, he turned around and saw Hikata stepping out of the arena. Stepping out of the arena instantly disqualifies a person. And the match hadn't even started for five minutes.

As the girl left the arena, she spoke in a voice that almost everyone could hear; "It's no fun fighting a bunch of poor kids! Tch!"

"Do you have a death wish?!"

A vein appeared on Yuta's forehead at her words and he wanted to wave his hand to teach her a lesson. Lowering his cursed energy as much as possible, he aimed for her hair, which had been bothering him since the beginning of the battle, but before he could wave his hand, his arm was grabbed by the referee ninja.

Yuta realized that she was playing with him and that she was even more arrogant than the boy from the previous Hyuga clan. The referee looked at the cut on his palm, swallowed, and announced the winner as Yuta violently released his hand from the referee and returned to his seat.

When Yuta saw Rin, who had come up to him to show fake sympathy, he angrily ignored her and sat back down. Everyone could see how angry he was right now but also knew that his anger was justified. Ibiki, who had more advanced senses than ordinary people, had already heard the conversation between Yuta and Hikata at the beginning of the match and told his students about it.

Meanwhile, as Hikata walked away from the arena, she covered the mark on her forehead with her hair before speaking in a voice that only she could hear. "I apologize, Yuta, but I cannot break the clan leader's orders."

Meanwhile, Hiruzen, who had planned to make the villagers happy by making Yuta a student in front of everyone and a civilian ninja he had in mind, narrowed his eyes and looked at the Hyuga clan leader who was watching the battle with a smile. To give the Hyuga clan leader his due, he had taken a truly disturbing revenge on the Hokage, and the Hokage wouldn't have told him anything even if he had wanted to. After all, everything that had happened had been done by Hikata and he was completely innocent.

----- a few minutes later

As the minutes continued to pass since the last duel, the arguments among the crowd grew louder. Yuta's terrible victories had killed half the excitement of the event, which meant that the villagers were not as vocal in Kakashi's duel as in the previous battles.
