章節 54: CHAPTER 53: Blood cocktail

The days passed slowly now that Amanda was doing a little better, she even named her son. The child now went by Thilsor.

Sirin was often quite annoyed by the screaming of the little mammal, but still found the self-control somewhere not to eat this despicable creature.

But what was even more annoying than Thilsor was that at some point a random person had seen Sirin together with Amanda and her child. Since Amanda was still extremely tired back then and Thilsor decided to make a fuss, Sirin had let the human go.

He would come to regret this decision when said human returned with a small army in an attempt to free the maiden and her child from the terrible creature that had captured them.

Naturally, this resulted in quite a bloody battle. Even if it were not that bad for Sirin, Amanda was terrified that witnessing such carnage at such an early age would have lasting effects on Thilsor. So, from then onward both Sirin as well as Amanda would be more careful when they were outside of the cave.

Emilia was also drawn to the little human. She cared for him as if he were her little brother, though she treated him more like a doll.

She was also warming up to Sirin. Despite all odds she wasn't as scared of the pale demon and was utterly fascinated by his Naga form. The only thing that scared her about Sirin was when he split open his jaw. She couldn't stand the many long and inhuman teeth in such an unnaturally far stretched mouth.

Thus, Amanda enforced the rule that Sirin wasn't allowed to split his face in half when any of the children were close.

At the moment Sirin sat close to the opening of the cave and stared at the pouring rain outside. The new set of horns had fully grown out by now, so there wasn't much discomfort there anymore. However, he stared to notice that he was growing a lot faster than a few weeks ago and was now towering far above Amanda and Hendrik.

He sighed as he created small glowing orbs with his magic creation skill. They didn't really serve any purpose, he just made them because he was bored.

He didn't really use a lot of magic to make them so after a few moments they seemed to just dissolve.

Suddenly he felt a string poke in his back. Already irritated he turned around to see Hendrik. "What is it?" He hissed at his human friend.

"Spot is acting up again, and you seem a little on edge as well. So, I just came to check on you."

"So that's why you're carrying a bottle of blood?" The demon sneered.

Hendrik smiled and sat down next to Sirin. "As expected, you could already smell what's inside the bottle. But can't you tell that something is off about it?"

Annoyed Sirin rolled his eyes. "I don't know, you have thrown some alcohol in it. Is there more?"

Hendrik chuckled. "I'm afraid that its indeed just that. But the way that it is made classifies it as a blood cocktail. It's something that's used to lure extremely vile or bloodthirsty spirits. Since you can't enjoy normal foods and drinks from this world, I thought you might like this instead."

The demon carefully grabbed the bottle with his tail and took a sip.

"And?" Hendrik asked in anticipation.

Sirin shrugged. "Its better than the stuff you brought me the last time. Though I'd leave the alcohol out. It kind of messes with the taste."

"Considering the fact that you are talking about a drink that is primarily based on blood kind of makes you sound like a vampire." Hendrik snickered as he repositioned himself on the stone floor.

Not paying much attention to Hendrik, Sirin unfolded his wings to protect himself from a strong gust of rain filled wind as he took another sip.

Eventually Hendrik pulled one of Sirin's wings down so they would be face to face again. "So, you still don't want to tell me what's going on?" He mocked Sirin. "I even gave you a present and everything, so you can just tell me."

Sirin pushed him away with his wing to free himself. "It's nothing much, I hope. Its just that for a few days there is something off about this world. I can't really tell what it is, but its not a good thing. Yet somehow it feels familiar."

As he was speaking, he made a single blue feather with hi magic creation. Eve if this was just a feather, appearance wise it was identical to the one that gave him the system in the first place.

At this point the system seemed to flicker, just for a moment. Even Sirin himself barely noticed the brief error. But it was enough for him to worry even more about what was out there.

Please look at the comments again! This time Dr. Jackalope on Instagram drew Sirin as a jackalope and I’m verry proud!
