I spent a whole day desperately trying to get dressed up. Even an hour in the shower still seems like a minute to me. A few hours ago, I asked Candice to come over to my house so she could lend me one of her clothes. Please, don't laugh at me. In my entire existence in this world, I had never owned a prom dress. Mom and Dad had just come back from work, so they had no idea their only daughter had been dressing for hours for her first prom. The prom she had just attended for life. How sad.

            The dress that Candice lent her was magenta. It's the most beautiful dress I've ever seen before. God bless her. I blushed again and thought of Justin going to pick me up in a neat suit. I tell you over and over again, don't get tired of slapping myself to keep me awake from my stupid imagination.
