章節 13: The Cobras are back

Three days later,

I got the call from Sam that Miguel has finally woken up from his Coma and she wanted us to visit him. I told she could've done this alone, but she insisted on me having her back during their conversation.

So, I went to Sam's place and picked her up on my bike before we left to the West Valley Hospital, to visit the patient named Miguel Diaz.

"Hey." Sam was the first to greet him when we entered his room.

"Hey." Miguel said back with a surprised look, "Alex." He nodded at me.

"You good, buddy?" I asked as I went next to his bed, "I heard what happened at the school and I am sorry for what happened."

"Thanks." Miguel replied with a small smile.

"How are you?" Sam asked and realised it was a stupid question, "I mean.. Sorry, I.. Its a stupid question."

"It's Ok." Miguel assured her with an embarrassed smile, "I have a surgery on Friday. Some doctor from out of States who supposedly works miracles."

"Then that's great, right?" Sam replied with a small smile.

"I'm not getting my hopes up." Miguel said casually with slight depression, "The Surgery costs a ton. My mom's gonna be in debt. And there's no guarantee it'll work, but.." he shrugged.

"If you're gonna give up even before trying, then you better not put your mom in debt." I realised I said that a bit too harshly and sighed, "Sorry, its just that I don't like people losing hope and being all depressed."

"No, that actually helps?" Miguel said with a confused smile, "I genuinely felt better when someone told me the truth to my face. Everyone's treating me like I am going to break."

"Good to hear that you still have it in you, Miguel." I said with a proud smile and patted on his shoulder, "I'll leave you guys to have some private talk."

I nodded at Sam with a meaningful look and left them alone in the room. I mean, those two were a couple, then they broke up, and came back together by cheating on their partners. I don't know the current situation between the two, but I did know I shouldn't interfere in their relationship.

After that, I did not see Miguel again because there were more of his friends at the hospital who wanted to meet him.

"Let's go, Alex." Sam said as she came out of Miguel's room with tears running down her cheeks and rushed to the exit.

"Wait, what happened?" I stopped her by grabbing her wrist.

"Not here, okay?" Sam replied with her face down as she sniffled a few sobs.

"Fine." I sighed and went to the parking lot of the Hospital, where my Bike was parked.

"So, you're gonna tell me what happened in there?" I asked with a concerned look, 'At least she has stopped crying now.'

"It's Miguel." Sam cried again and sobbed heavily.

'Guess not.' I sighed and pursed my lips, "I know its Miguel, but what about him?"

"Things between us have ended." Sam replied by trying to wipe her tears and calm down, "The things he said after you were gone, it was like he was blaming me for the whole thing and what happened to me and Robby."

Sam stopped crying and seriously looked me in the eyes, "He called me a Slut, Alex."

"Well, can't really beat a guy to the hospital when he's already at the hospital." I stated with a shrug, "I wonder how dare the guy says that after he cheated on Tory as well."

"He said I was the one who seduced him that night." Sam continued in exasperation, "That I took benefit of the situation, just so I could break him up with Tory. I don't know if you'll believe me, but he was the one who initiated that Kiss."

"There's no use talking about it now, Sam." I said by placing my hands on her shoulder, "You want a hug?"

Sam emotionally nodded her head and embraced me into a deep hug. After she stopped crying and calmed down a little, we got on my bike and we drove away from the hospital.

"Thanks for being with me, Alex." Sam said by resting her head on my back, "I don't know what I would've done if you weren't there with me today."

"Look at the bright side." I replied with a chuckle, "Now you know what kind of a scumbag Diaz is. And I hope you have learnt your lesson to not date guys who are good to you, as all guys who want to get in your pants will always be good to you."

"I am a virgin, Alex." Sam whined with a deep blush as she punched my shoulder, "I am not those type of girls who would let anyone sleep with me. Not to mention, my parents would kill me."

"You're such a princess." I couldn't help but laugh.

"I hate you so much." Sam said annoyingly as she wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged my back.

"Likewise." I chuckled in response, "Do you want to grab a lunch on our way back? I am hungry."

"Sure, my treat." Sam replied with a cheerful smile, "That also means you'll take me to the place I want to go."

"Yeah, right." I rolled my eyes and drove to one of her favourite restaurants in the All Valley.

The next day,

I got a call from Mr. Larusso and he told me that Robby was found. He was brought in by the cops and placed in a juvenile centre, where he would be spending the next four months as a punishment for his crimes.

Days were passing quickly as my focus laid on my work. I was passionately enjoying my lifestyle as I could do whatever I wanted as my own person.

Though, a week later, when I was heading back home from the swimming pool, I saw John Kreese standing outside my Apartment Complex.

And not just him, but all of his students, including Tory, Hawks and some new students I did not know.

"You guys looking for trouble?" I asked them with a cocky smile.

"Arrogant as ever." Kreese remarked with a smirk, "Though, I would say its the arrogance you deserve due to your strength."

"Martial arts in not all about strength." I replied.

"And that's the reason why I am here to invite you back to my Dojo." Kreese offered with a grin, "Come back and become the Champion you were meant to be."

"I would rather watch Martial arts tutorials on YouTube than learn Karate from you." I chuckled in response, "Why would you even think I would accept your offer? You should know by now that I am not a moron like those idiots to listen to your nonsense."

"Who are you calling a Moron, huh?" A guy I did not know stepped forward and got to my face, but immediately regretted doing so when I landed a solid punch on his face.

He fell back down and touched his nose with a stupefied expression, "You.. You broke my nose!" He cried as he saw all the bloody mess on his hand.

"Hey, Kreese." I called him out with an excited grin, "How about this? Tell all of your students to fight me at once. And if even one of them manages to bring me down on the ground, I'll join your Dojo."

"Bullshit!" One of the unknown guys yelled in shock, "Are you insane?"

"And what if you win?" Kreese asked as he was seriously considering the offer.

"You shut Cobra Kai down and live the rest of your senile old life somewhere in peace." I replied with a shrug, "How does that sound?"

Kreese stayed silent for a moment, before he bursted laughing out loud.

"Hahaha! I have not laughed this well for a very long time." Kreese said as he wiped the small tears from the corner of his eyes, "You really are an arrogant piece of shit, aren't you?"

"Call me whatever you want, old man." I replied with a smile, "We both know you're not going to take that chance, so why don't you leave and never show your ugly face to me again?"

"Alex." Tory stepped ahead with a nervous expression, "Why are you doing this? It's your chance to join Cobra Kai again. We all know Miyagi-Do is closed and you haven't joined any other Dojo, so why not come with us?"

"I know you're arguing back to Sensei Kreese just because you're too prideful to listen to anybody." Tory continued in a convincing tone, "But please, can you consider this offer with a calm mind?"

"I can, I guess?" I replied with a confused look.

Everyone looked at Tory in amazement just because she was able to convince me. And why won't I listen to her? She was my friend, unlike the other morons at Cobra Kai.

"I can." I grinned evilly, "If only you guys manage to land a hit a on me."

Kreese saw this as an opportunity and immediately turned to his students, "Show him the strength of Cobra Kai!" He ordered them in an encouraging tone.

I placed the bag down on the floor and cracked my neck as I saw all the idiots rushing towards me, "So petty." I chuckled and instantaneously engaged in the fight by kicking away the first person who got to me.

They were Fourteen in total and I was only one. If they had to defeat me, the odds were in my favour. But now, since they just had to land a single hit on my body, the odds had turned into their favour.

At least, so they thought.

My subconscious defense had only gotten more better ever since I had unlocked the Sub-Skill. Whether it be a kick, a punch, headbutt, or someone trying to sweep my leg, my body knew how to counter them.

"Where's the teamwork, guys?" I laughed at their faces as I side stepped and kneed into a guy's stomach.

"Shut up and go down!" Tory yelled as she confronted me with an all out attack. Unfortunately, her focus was so much on her attacks that I just had to lightly nudge the back of her knee to bring her down.

"You have a long way to go." I grinned by lightly slapping on her face.

"Asshole." Tory groaned irritatedly at the humiliation.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" I asked as I saw a guy bring a pole into the fight.

"This is not a tournament, this is real life." Kreese stated with a smirk.

"Huh." I scoffed and blocked the pole with my right arm, grabbed it, and used it to smack the idiot who was holding it on the other end.

"Unfortunately for you, I have more real life fighting experience than you can imagine." I said by looking straight at Kreese, "And where did you find these idiots, at Kindergarten?"

There were only four of students left and they were warily surrounding me. I chuckled, "What happened to Cobra Kai strikes first?"

I dodged the sudden attack from behind me, by ducking under the kick.

"Tory, you bitch, what the fuck are you doing?" I exclaimed with an astounded frown, "You are supposed to be out!"

"You did not finish me." Tory replied with a exasperated grunt as she rushed at me with a barrage of attacks.

"So what, you want me to kill you?" I questioned by slamming a guy on the ground, who thought that Tory had distracted me.

"I am going to bring you into Cobra Kai." Tory exhaled heavily as I dodged all of her attacks, "Even if I have to punch your smug face." Tory remarked as she launched a punch at my face, but I caught it within my palm.

"Sorry to break it to you, but you can't." I said with a smug smile as I caught her arm, raised her over my shoulder and slammed her down on the ground.

Tory gasped in pain as her back impacted against the ground and she wasn't able to get up, even if she desperately wanted to.

I defeated the remaining students with ease and exhaled a heavy breath, before I turned to confront Kreese.

"That was a good work out, don't you think?" I asked him with an arrogant smirk, "Probably would've ended this earlier if I wasn't tired from swimming the whole day."

"You went swimming?" Tory asked in shock while laying on the ground, because I had not invited her or told her about it.

"How about you take your chances with me?" Kreese challenged in response.

"Sorry, but I don't raise my hand on children, women, and old men." I replied with a mocking smile.

"I am a woman!" Tory whined in pain.

"That's respectable." Kreese nodded with a small smile and moved from my way, before he went to get his downed students.

"Get your asses back up and look at him!" Kreese shouted and his students got up while grunting in pain and looked at me, "That's your enemy, Cobra Kai's enemy! You all have first hand experienced his strength today and faced defeat! I want you all to remember this day and become stronger, so you can defeat him one day!"

"Yes, Sensei."

"Louder!"

"Yes, Sensei!" The Cobra Kai shouted in unison.

"Now go back to your home and recover from your injuries." Kreese ordered, "Tomorrow, I need every one of you at Dojo!"

"Yes, Sensei!" Kreese nodded to their response and walked away.

I approached Tory and supported her by lending her my shoulder, "You're reckless."

"Shut up, you asshole." Tory furiously glared at me, "It's because you won't join our Dojo."

"Hey.." The guy whose nose I had broken, approached me with a nervous smile, "I am Kyler Park. I did not know Tory was your girlfriend."

"No, she's not." I replied with a stern look, "Now fuck off, before I break something else."

"Chill dude." Kyler got startled at my warning and immediately backed away to his friends, "Let's go guys, and someone call me a Cab."

I picked up my bag and supported Tory as we went to my apartment. I placed her down on the couch and went to the bathroom to get a quick shower.

When I got out of my room after getting changed into a fresh pair of clothes, I saw that Tory had fallen asleep on the couch.

"She must be tired." I muttered under my breath.

I got a blanket from my room and placed it over her, before I went back to my room and closed the door. Since Tory was asleep, I could check the notifications that I got during the fight.

'Two level ups at once?' My eyes went wide in shock, 'Is it because I fought so many opponents at once with special conditions?'

I mean, I did almost got hit thrice during the fight, but I had managed to stand my ground due to Miyagi-Do Karate style and my Subconscious Defense.
