章節 1: Death and Rebirth
Once, I lived, and then I died. Simple as that, no pain, no fear. Everything just turned dark. I was old and weak, having spent my life fighting and learning martial arts, destroying my body in the process. I wasn't a good guy, not in the slightest. I did what I had to in order to survive. No family, no friends, just me versus the world. Through my adventures, I gained fame, money, and a nickname: The Dragon.
I never believed in life after death. I thought I would simply see darkness for eternity, but that wasn't the case. I heard a voice say, "Interesting. You are special. Unlike others, you didn't waste a moment of your life." He paused and continued, "Because you appreciated the gift of life I gave you, you'll get a second chance." He turned to me, and I glanced at his appearance. He was tall, very tall, with an athletic build. His hair was black, like the darkest night sky, and his skin was the purest shade of white. When I looked into his eyes, my heart froze. They were red, the red of war, the red of blood and death. In my long life, I had never seen anything so terrifying. He noticed my expression and chuckled. "Don't worry, child. I'm Lucifer, and you have nothing to fear. You'll get to choose where you will be reincarnated. You can select from any possible universe, existing or not. You can also choose when and where you'll be reborn. In addition, I'll grant you the ability of a calm mind."
I didn't overthink it and said, "I wish to be reborn in the world of Cobra Kai, 16 years before the start of the story, in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California." Lucifer replied, "Very well. You can also choose your appearance." A touch-screen TV appeared in front of me, and I got to work. My new body was Caucasian, 185 cm tall, slim but muscular (like Robby). My eyes were blue, and my hair was blonde a very handsome appearance, by common opinion, with a sinister yet engaging look in my eyes. Lucifer asked, "Is that your final choice?" I replied, "Yes." He then said, "Don't waste your life. Take chances and have fun. Good luck!" Suddenly, everything turned black.
Time passed, and I realized I was in the womb of my new mother. I didn't waste a moment and began to think. Since my brain hadn't formed yet, I guessed my consciousness was still active. "Why am I not panicking?" I recalled Lucifer's words, and something caught my attention: "Calm mind." Everything made sense. I had the ability to remain calm under pressure and think logically. I spent my time planning and plotting ways to gain power in the karate world. My main concerns were to become a force of my own, protect my loved ones, and have fun (everything will be revealed later).
Suddenly, I felt a massive pull towards the outside. After nine months of darkness, I was blinded by the outside light. I slowly opened my eyes and saw my mother, a young, beautiful blonde woman. She was crying tears of joy and said, "I'll name you Jack."
