“T-Tyler?” Jenny’s eyes widened upon seeing me. It’s been five years since I last saw her, since she chose her husband over us, her family. “What are you doing here?”

“I have a very important thing to tell you,” I said as I studied her face. She looked happy and contented. I felt bad for doing this to her but we both have no choice but to accept the fact. The reality that I was about to tell her.

“W-what is it?” her lips trembled. “Did mom and dad send you to take me back home? I know you’ve sacrificed enough for me, and I’m really sorry for that. But please understand that—“

“It’s not that, Jenny.”

“Then what is it?” she was very impatient. “If it’s not about me marrying Dino, then what is it, Tyler?”

I took a deep breath and brushed my fingers over my hair. How could I tell her the truth without her hurting? How would I tell her that Skylar was my daughter and I’m taking her back from them?
