Caroline sat in a stuffy classroom, her gaze drifting lazily out the window as the teacher droned on about history.

The other students around her hung on the teacher's every word, their attention unwavering as they scribbled notes furiously in their textbooks. But Caroline couldn't bring herself to care about any of it.

She was different from the rest of them. While they were content to follow the rules and strive for academic excellence, Caroline found herself yearning for something more. Something beyond the confines of the classroom. 

She was already missing the feeling of her sword's hilt. She wanted to get back to holding it as soon as possible. 

As the bell finally rang, signaling the end of the school day, Caroline wasted no time in gathering her belongings and slipping out of the classroom.
