"Ack!" Gloria's face went pale, her eyes widening as she hit the wall. Evander hadn't even used that much force, but it was enough to make her gasp for air. She reached up, tapping his hand, silently begging him to let go. But he didn't budge.

Evander leaned in close, his gaze sharp and fierce. "Mother," he said in a cold, steady voice, "I don't hold back when it comes to Claire. So if you value your life, stay away from her. I won't hesitate… even if it means burying you six feet under." His tone was calm but deadly serious, each word carrying a warning she couldn't ignore.

Finally, he released her. Gloria stumbled forward, coughing and clutching her neck as she tried to catch her breath. Tears filled her eyes, a mix of shock and anger burning within them as she clenched her fists. Even after what just happened, she refused to back down. His threat was clear, but she wasn't done yet.
