"Because this doesn't seem like you" Ashley opened the beer can and took a sip.

Alice knew it was useless to act normal in front of Ashley when she knew her inside out and it will only make her lie to her if she keeps ignoring her claims.

"People do change Ash... and it's time for me to change too" Alice joined her while she kept ignoring her eyes.

Alice couldn't argue because Ashley was right when she talked about her habit but that wasn't related to her getting bothered by something. She wouldn't have taken the privilege to even pick a spoon on her own but Noah's face came flashing into her mind when he saw how messed up her house was.

Even though he didn't voice his thoughts but she could tell that he must be thinking how unwomanly she was who didn't even know how to keep her surroundings clean.

Ashley looked at Alice who turned quiet all of sudden, and shook her by her shoulder bringing her out from the trance.
