"Guess what?" Angelo drawled out from the sofa that he was sitting on while wiping his hands lazily on the handkerchief. 

Salvatore raised an eyebrow at the blood and then the bodies in the living room. He did not look around for enough time to know whether they were alive or not nor did he want to know. 

It did not take him seconds to realise it was not what Michelle had told him about. Something else was going on. 

"Are you sure you want my mother to see this?"

Alexis was not a regular Mafia wife. She would not complain about the rug that she had imported from another country and complain that it was handmade. 

No, she would kick up a row knowing that there had been dead bodies in a place where she had invited her children inside and would continue to do so in the future.

Angelo tutted. "She is in the country with Bella and her children." 

Of course, he had it all planned.
