Lucian's POV 

"Rex is my ex," I stuttered in embarrassment.

"What?" Conri's eyes widened. 

"I will explain later" My eyes pleaded with him but I could already see the change in demeanor and sensed his anger. 

He stood up and announced, "I am going for a run," and he left the room. 

"Lucian, that is what Alpha Lobo wants, "Tala said. "You need to go after him and calm him down. "

"Let him be. He will be back when he cools off, "I responded, knowing well that I should have called him the minute Rex left my office.

"We are leaving Lucian, "Zeeb stood up.

"Take the security team with you. I would advise that Anisha and Tala spend the night at your apartment," I suggested.

"No, "Both Anisha and Tala spoke simultaneously. 

"I will drop them at Ma's house. They will be safe." Zeeb emphasized. They both remained mute but seemed displeased by his decisions. 

"Get up. We need to leave the newlyweds alone," Zeeb chuckled.
