Love is such a strong word. It could be used in two terms, are you IN LOVE with that person, or do you only love the thought OF them? Has someone been the thought on your mind so often that it's hard to get them out of your head?
If you asked Carl, he never stopped loving Melissa even after they broke up. Although, it came to the point where the love he had for Melissa was SO strong that he thought about doing things he'd never would want to do before.

He will do anything to have her again.
