章節 154: "The Darkest Basement"

The elevator door slowly opened. In contrast to the research facility's white-walled interior, the eighth basement had black walls. Slowly stepping out of the elevator, Lia stayed alert and cautious, looking around her before finally walking forward. There wasn't anyone around. The only thing she heard were the noisy engine sounds that seemed like generators.

"Everyone else was ordered by Mr. Lanfrizz to search the facility for small spy gadgets…"

"Why are we even here? It's more fun to look for it, how I wish we were upstairs. This is the floor I hated the most…"

Two armed men of the Security team passed by, luckily Lia swiftly hid in a dark corner. She overheard them and took a good analysis of the situation.

"I'm hungry, let's grab some food upstairs."

"I'm sure the culprit will not even think of infiltrating here. Especially now that Mr. Lanfrizz is investigating the matter."
