Isabel Smith nodded, then it suddenly dawned on her that the 'Ella' Elijah referred to was her junior - Ella Adams.

Percy Stanton watched as Elijah Smith and Ella Adams disappeared from sight, before slowly turning his head to look at Isabel Smith standing in front of him and asked, "Do you have anything later?"

Only then did Isabel Smith check the time. It was almost noon, and it took Elijah a whole morning to settle his matters. She was about to say that she had a meeting in the afternoon when Percy Stanton interjected in a seemingly nonchalant manner, "They helped Elijah a lot today. I'm planning to treat them to a meal. So, you should come along too."
