Percy Stanton raised an eyebrow, showing no sympathy for his son's complaint, and nonchalantly said, "Raymond, you should be glad it wasn't me as your teacher. I would have made you copy 'The Peasant's Pity' ten times!"

Raymond's little face crumpled up immediately, glaring at Percy angrily. Before he could speak again, he suddenly heard laughter from within the car.

Frowning harder, Raymond lifted his head with some dissatisfaction to see that there was someone else sitting beside Percy. He stood on tiptoes, trying to see who it was, and muttered softly, "Father, did you get a new girlfriend?"

Isabel Smith had been feeling somewhat depressed, but seeing Raymond seemed to mysteriously lift her spirits. Unable to hold back her laughter at his innocent words, she leaned over and asked, "Raymond, did you get in trouble at school today?"
