It was Friday with school just getting out for the day. You and All Might haven't spoken in three days, and today he was out of town for a meeting for his agency. He was unsupportive and harsh towards you...but you still missed your dinners, your late-night movies with popcorn...
You were excited for after school, today you were supposed to 'hang out' with Mina.
You have never hung out with anyone before, and you couldn't even talk to All Might about it...
"I wish I could come..." Midoriya's voice pulled you from your thoughts, "...but I have to meet Midnight in twenty minutes."
"You are meeting Midnight!?" Mina jumped, "What for!?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
"No-Nothing like that!" Midoriya blushed seven shades red. "I-I got detention and as our punishment-"
"Don't tell me you were the third idiot involved in the fight with Bakugo!" Mina lectured.
"Ye-Yeah..." Midoriya muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
"What do they have you doing?" Ochaco wondered.
"No idea." Midoriya shrugged, "I just know we have to meet at the gardeners shed for shovels."
"Shovels?"
"Yeah, it's kinda weird...but I hope you guys have fun!"
"Oh, we will!" Mina laughed, "We will see you Monday to get ready for the festival!"
"Let's do our best!" Midoriya grinned.
"Yeah!" Mina laughed turning to face you. "So, don't be mad!"
"Mad?"
"I know I said it would be just you and I, but I was talking to the other girls, and they wanted to join too so I said it was ok, please don't be mad!"
You blinked, looking over Mina's shoulder seeing Ochaco, Jiro, Momo and Asui standing around.
"Oh." You spoke. "Ok."
"Y-You're not mad?"
"No." You shrugged, "I didn't think they would want to-"
"Of course, we want to hang out with you!" Momo walked over,
"Alright-!" Mina cheered, "-let's go shopping and then get some really good food!"
You liked the food part.
Mina and the other girls took you to their favorite hangouts, dragged you into a few stores before finally feeding you at a brightly colored café where the sweets were to die for.
The day flew by and before you knew it, it was growing dark. Everyone had to get home before their parents killed them, you gave a fake smile at the joke as everyone said goodbye.
You weren't excited to go home, there was no one waiting for you there.
You kind of knew how to get to All Might's house if you got to the small blue grocery store that was close to home. Momo knew what place you were talking about and explained directions.
Asui was nervous about you walking home alone, without you knowing the area but you waved them off. How hard could it be to maneuver your way home?
After two hours...
You were lost.
You tried to back track your way to the café where you parted ways with the girls to try again but failed miserably. You groaned feeling the rumble in your stomach as every building looked foreign while nothing around felt familiar.
You sighed, plopping down in the grass beside the sidewalk rubbing your stiff neck. This was not how you thought your night would go. The warm air blew against your skin as you stared up at the stars, not having the energy to get up and wander around. The cut you received from Shadow Jack on your leg burned, as if there was a colony of fire ants crawling around inside the sliced flesh.
You had no way to call All Might, not that you wanted to anyway you didn't have a cell phone.
The sparkling stars were a kind distraction to your sore muscles. After a while of peaceful silence, you heard gravel footsteps quickly making their way towards you.
You looked down from the stars, locking eyes with crimson orbs that seemed to glow against the night sky.
A thick silence filled the area around you and Bakugo.
After a moment walked itself passed you, Bakugo kept on walking.
You watched his gray hoodie as he walked away. You took a deep breath looking back up to the sky.
Bakugo kept his eyes locked onto the ground, his heart racing from his run. Two blocks from home this was his cool down time. He lifted his hand running it through his spikey hair, glancing over his shoulder a 'tsk' came from his lips, his legs stopped moving him forward.
Why were you still in uniform?
A growl escaped from his throat as he spun on his heel.
You looked over, hearing the gravel footsteps storm their way towards you. Your ash blond classmate was making his way over to you, his face visibly annoyed.
"What are you doing!?" Bakugo demanded to know.
"Sitting." You replied, your stomach bubbling reminding you of its neediness.
"I can fucking see that!" Bakugo snapped, "Why are you still in uniform sitting in the middle of a park!?"
You were in a park?
Oh, how nice.
"I think I pull it off nicely." You answered gesturing to your outfit, smirking when you noticed his eye twitching in annoyance. "Well have a goodnight." You waved to him.
"I can hear your stomach from here." Bakugo walked closer. "You can't get up, can you?"
"I am just peachy right here." You flashed a smile, finding yourself enjoying annoying him. Bakugo thought about walking away, and just as he went to turn around, he noticed the shade of his eyes.
Bakugo closed the distance, kneeling next to you. Confused by his actions, he ignored your face reaching for your leg, moving it to see the red leaking through the bandage soaking your white sock.
"Huh-" You said having not noticed, "-so that's why it hurt."
"Are you kidding me!?" Bakugo snapped,
"Why are you getting so worked up?" You questioned, "It isn't your leg."
"Come on-" Bakugo stood, "-where do you live?"
"No idea." You said with a laugh.
"How the fuck don't you know where you live!?"
"Because I am new to this area." You said in a 'duh' tone, scratching your cheek. "I don't usually leave the house without All Might."
"Hm." Bakugo grunted, he noticed how you always hung around All Might. The past few days you also have been spending more time with that damn Deku. "Call him to come help you." He spat, feeling the familiar rage silicify into a rock sitting on his chest.
"I don't have a phone." You muttered.
"Ugh!" He groaned, knowing if he left you out here All Might would be disappointed... "Come on." Bakugo said, reaching for your arm.
"Wha-"
"Do you want to stay out here all night!?" Bakugo snapped feeling a slight feeling of rejection.
"No..."
You bit down on your jaw as he helped you up and lifted you onto his back. You blinked your eyes feeling slightly uncomfortable, never having a piggyback ride before. You had shown Bakugo the piece of paper All Might had written his address on for you which you keep in your bag. Turns out, you two live only a block apart.
"How don't you have a phone?" All Might wandered from the blue.
"Hm?" You turned from looking around the area. "I guess...I never had one before, so it doesn't come to mind while dealing with recovery and all."
"Hm..." Bakugo nodded, "...how do you afford to eat the way you do?" Bakugo wondered, you were held captive for your entire life, how do you have money for things like eating at school?
"Well..." You sighed setting your chin on Bakugo's shoulder, feeling sleeping. The warmth seeping through his hoodie comforted you. "...the HPSC has made a program to aid people like me, I am just waiting on the paperwork to go through."
"That doesn't answer my question." Bakugo pointed out.
"Oh..." You muttered, not sure if you should say anymore.
All Might didn't want anyone to know you lived with him...but you did know Bakugo knew the truth about All Might and Midoriya's situation.
"Why have you been hanging around that damn nerd all of a sudden?" Bakugo skipped to the next question.
"Nerd?" You repeated, "Midoriya? Mm... I don't know..." You muttered, Midoriya knew about you living with All Might, it was easy being open and not keeping everything a secret, plus Midoriya came around now that you two were somewhat friends and he was All might's successor.
"Whatever-!" Bakugo snapped, his muscles tightened under you feeling you were keeping something from him. "-if you don't wanna tell me I don't care-" His face held so much anger his glare could probably crack glass. "-bug that damn Deku next time you're stuck on the side of the road!"
You glanced at his face, after a moment for a slight second you read how he left out. All Might was his hero and yet he was the one who seemed the farthest from him. A total stranger who just appeared seemed to be closer to his idol than he was.
Bakugo dropped everything he was doing to make sure you got home safely...
"You can't tell anyone." You said, Bakugo stopped walking, turning his head to glance at you, his face hovered inches from yours. You stared into his glowing eyes, specs of ember red looked as if he had live fire burning in his orbs.
"U-Um-!?" Bakugo cleared his throat quickly looking ahead. "-don't tell anyone what?"
"I live with him." You sighed.
"Eh!?" Bakugo frowned, "Live with who?"
"All Might!" You laughed at his confused face.
"You live with...All Might?"
"Yeah."
"How the hell did that happen!?"
"He kept visiting me in the hospital after the fight and-"
"So that's why he went missing for like weeks?"
"Yeah, he was with me. By the time I got discharged from the hospital, the HPSC still hadn't processed the paperwork to create funding for me to get housing or funds to live so All Might stepped up."
"Why hasn't he come looking for you?" Bakugo wondered, glancing around in the dark. It wasn't safe for you to be out this time of night...
"He is out of town." You answered, "Plus we aren't really talking..."
"Why?" Bakugo grunted, "What did you do?"
"Why do I have to be the one in the wrong!?" You lightly slapped the side of his arm, Bakugo smirked as a deep chuckle rocked his chest.
"You seem like the type."
"Why type would that be!?"
"So, what did you do?"
"I did nothing." You pouted, moving your head to lay your cheek on his shoulder watching the scenery walk past you two. "He is mad I want to compete in the sports festival."
"He is mad about that?"
"Yeah." You sighed.
"Hm..." Bakugo hummed, "...I mean you are still hurt."
"Don't be on his side!" You snipped.
"Facts are fact." Bakugo shrugged, "But if you want to do it and get yourself killed, he should respect that too."
"Thank you!" You smiled.
"So, what are you going to do?"
"My doctor from the hospital will be the one to determine if I can or can't."
"Oh."
"Yeah..."
"That sucks."
"Very much." You sighed; you moved your eyes forward seeing a group of loud people making their way towards you two. You looked a head and sat up, noticing a green building which held an 'open' sign still hanging in their window.
"Bakugo-" You patted his shoulder about to point, excitement bursting through you.
"What!?" He snapped, not expecting to hear your loud voice he took as panic not excitement. "You want me to put you down, so you're not seen with me!?"
"What?" You furrowed your brows. "No-" You pointed to the ramen shop. "-look!" Bakugo stared at the store for a moment.
"Yeah and?" He said before continuing to walk on.
"But-!" You turned to the store, watching it inch farther and farther away.
"Hey man-!" One of the men from the group passing laughed, "-your girl wants some food!"
Your eyes widened hearing those words as your face turned bright red.
"What did you say!?" Bakugo spun around glaring at the drunken group who laughed forgetting you two were even there. "If you wanted to eat, why didn't you say something!?" Bakugo snapped, refusing to look in your direction feeling the blush across his face.
