The next few hours, Alex spent pondering over what he should have done right with Lia. It was crazy how everything was going downhill and he only had Lia to think of. Anyone would think that he didn't care about the company, but Alexander loved it. 

His heart just happened to be on the other side of the gun. 

He wondered what would happen if she showed up for him and wanted him to resign. Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't. Hell, who was he kidding, if Lia came and gave him a choice, Alex would jump at it. 

He wanted to atone for all the pain he had caused her. He wondered whether she truly knew that he was the one who had killed her parents, or if her anger was just because of Alexander's stupidity as a boyfriend.
