Lia missed her elder brother. 

She missed the way he would sing her to sleep when she was still young. She missed the way he would make her promises and keep them. She missed how Damien had been her god fairy. The man had fulfilled her every wish when her family hadn't even known that she knew she had two older brothers. 

After all, she didn't mind that they had considered her desire for an elder brother to be an obsession, but destiny had been kind. She got three brothers, and even though they were absolute knuckleheads and crazies, they were the softest bundles of joy when it came to their family. 

She loved her family so much. Sure there were times when they disagreed, but which family had no disagreements, right? 

She loved how everything seemed to be going orderly and as planned, if not better.
