The nine pairs of eyes of the mutated ancient snake focused on the bowl-shaped energy shield. Through the shield, they could see emerald green eyes with three small flowers slowly rotating in them. An intense sense of oppression emanated from those eyes.

"I can't believe these are the Eyes of the Three Snake Flowers, the rarest pair of eyes in the world, and they belong to someone as weak as you. What a waste. Why don't you let me control them?" The multiple heads of the snake loomed around the energy shield.

Qing Lin frowned. The ancient snake had great ambitions, but she was not going to allow that to happen. "You're already dead, only your spirit remains. You can't control anything," she shouted furiously.

Xiao Ze watched in surprise; it was the first time he had seen Qing Lin so angry. The ancient snake, however, was not bothered, as it was sure that soon it would control the Eyes of the Three Snake Flowers.

"I hope you keep that bravery when I control you and erase your consciousness," said the ancient snake with a malicious smile, before launching an attack of dark red energy.

Xiao Ze grabbed Qing Lin and retreated quickly. The blue energy shield shattered on contact with the red energy, which spread and filled the entire underground space.

"Xiao Ze, be careful!" Qing Lin exclaimed.

The ancient snake thought it was victorious, but suddenly, a golden light filled the space. A golden flame appeared, radiating such immense authority that even the ancient snake felt pressure.

The golden flame burned the air and extended like chains, piercing the red energy and enveloping the ancient snake. It emitted a heart-wrenching scream as its nine heads tried in vain to break free.

Qing Lin sighed in relief seeing Xiao Ze easily control the snake. "What kind of flame is that? How can it be so harmful to spirits?" asked one of the snake's heads, full of fear and fury.

Xiao Ze, however, seemed disappointed by the snake's weakness. Just when he thought he had defeated it, the snake used its tail to strike its own body, causing it to explode and release a huge amount of violent energy.

Xiao Ze frowned, but soon extended his golden flames, forming a barrier that burned the approaching violent energy.

Qing Lin felt a mix of admiration and relief. Xiao Ze didn't stop attacking; he created new chains of fire that pierced the snake's heads, eliminating its resistance.

"Since this thing can't be controlled, I'll do what I said and erase its consciousness before handing it to you to control," Xiao Ze said. Without giving the snake a chance to plead for its life, the fire chains repeatedly pierced its heads until it was left without strength.

"Qing Lin, there shouldn't be any more problems. Quickly, subdue it before the spirit energy dissipates," Xiao Ze said.

"Understood!" Qing Lin responded, her eyes shining with green light again. The light formed a small green flower on the snake's head, a sign that it had been successfully subdued.
