“I need you to promise me. If anything happens to me. That you’ll take my sister out of here. You and Cheska will go to Chicago. I need you to promise me you’ll take her with you to Chicago.”
She searched my eyes, scanning them for any sign that I might be teasing. The look on my face was enough for her to sober up. Her head nodded slightly.
“I need you to use your words.” My familiar command caused a pink hue to tinge her cheeks.
“I promise.”
“Good girl,” I said before letting my hands find the place, they wanted to explore next.
