章節 47: That hollow
Kiyota felt the firsts gusts of gentle breeze on his wings and slowly everything else started. Kiyota was dazed as he watched. The group of Ryoka unfroze. Their faces first showed a scared expression, but now it was confusion as to why they were suddenly teleported outside the black box made by Aizen. Rukia was even more confused. One second she was being held by a hollow and the next she was outside. It was simply too bizarre. Yuzuki's and still shot forward in a slicing motion, to cut Gin, but she hit nothing. Yuzuki immediately tensed up for an attack which never came, leaving her confused. Luna who was about to launch a sneak attack on Aizen, missed. Kain face resumed laughing with a grin before suddenly tensing. The gran rey cero also resumed motion towards Tosen, who was huffing to recover his breath after his fight with Kain, had no time to react. The concentrated beam of white reiatsu engulfed him, his body disappearing in a blinding flash of light.
"I... I killed him," Kiyota whispered, his voice barely audible over the roar of the dissipating cero.
"Lord Jin," Luna said, his voice tight with concern and finally understanding.
"Jinnie? How? What?" Yuzuki asked in a confused tone.
Kiyota couldn't answer. His mind was shaken with his decision. He had taken a life. Not in the heat of battle, but through calculated action. Though the justification for killing Tosen moments ago now felt empty.
"We... we need to move," Kiyota finally managed to say, his voice was hoarse. "Aizen and Gin won't stay confused for long."
As if on cue, a surge of reiatsu washed over them from the direction they had fled. Aizen was on the move.
"GO! GET OUT!" Kiyota shouted at Luna, Kain and Yuzuki.
Luna instantly grasped the situation and turned around hastily. He opened a garganta and pushed Kain and Yuzuki through it. He looked back at Kiyota one last time before leaving through the dark portal.
'That's one less problem to worry about. Now I gotta go back to the Ryoka and Rukia.' Kiyota thought to himself as he shot forward, unfurled his wings and flew as fast as he could.
Aizen stood before the Ryoka, his grip once again firmly on Rukia's leash. Rukia trembled, fear evident in her wide eyes. Aizen turned to face the badly wounded Ichigo, who stood protectively near Orihime.
"I faked my death and hid underground because I knew there was a chance the execution would fail," Aizen explained, his voice calm and measured. "But I never expected such an influence. My plan was almost ruined. Luckily, I still have a contingency."
With a small fluid motion, Aizen withdrew a small green capsule from his white captains robes and clicked it. Six green, spear-like pillars shot up from the ground, surrounding him and Rukia.
Aizen's right hand and arm turned green.
"NO! WAIT-" Ichigo shouted.
Aizen shoved his hand into Rukia's chest.
A immesely loud hollow scream split the sky like lightning as Kiyota unleashed multiple gran rey ceros infused with chidori towards Aizen. The white and light blue beams fell like pillars of light from heaven, kicking up a cloud of dust that obscured the view.
As the dust began to settle, Aizen leapt out, the Hōgyoku clutched in his hand. his hand and arm returned to normal in a dissipating process. He examined the Hōgyoku.
Suddenly, from the sky above, Jidanbō Ikkanzaka fell toward Sōkyoku Hill with Kūkaku Shiba on his shoulder. Kūkaku fired Hadō #63. Raikōhō at Aizen, engulfing him in a large cloud of dust on impact. Aizen leapt out of the dust cloud again, unharmed.
In an instant, Yoruichi Shihōin and 2nd Division Captain Suì-Fēng appeared, restraining Aizen. Yoruichi clutched his Zanpakutō while Suì-Fēng held her own blade to his neck.
"It's been a long time since I've seen your face, Yoruichi," Aizen remarked, his tone still eerily calm despite his predicament.
Yoruichi's eyes narrowed. "Don't move a muscle, Aizen. If you so much as twitch a finger, you'll lose your head. After I imprison you, I'll kill that hollow pet you have."
Aizen laughed with a sour face. "That hollow... That hollow is something else. He tried to kill me, as you saw. Almost ruined my plans."
