章節 3: Chapter 3 - Martial Coins - Blue-Horn Pigs

Agni went back to his cabin, flopped down onto his bed, and sighed, feeling a sense of satisfaction at the progress he had made.

As he caught his breath, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small leather pouch. It jingled softly as he opened it, revealing a handful of shiny coins.

These were martial coins, the currency used throughout the Gardian Continent. Agni had earned them through his training and various tasks assigned to him by the Black Sun Sect. He counted them out one by one, taking stock of his wealth.

He had a decent amount, enough to pay for food and lodging for at least a few weeks. But he knew that he needed to continue earning more if he wanted to truly make a name for himself in the martial arts world.

As he counted the coins, he thought back to the various uses of martial coins. They were not only used as a form of currency but also as a means of measuring one's strength and skill. The more martial arts coins a person had, the more respected and feared they were in the martial arts community.

Sometimes, even soul stones themselves were used as currency, a testament to their value and rarity. Agni had yet to earn any soul stones, but he knew that they were highly coveted and that he would have to work hard to obtain them.

With a sense of determination, Agni closed the pouch and placed it back in his pocket. He knew that he had to keep working hard, keep improving his skills, and keep earning more martial coins if he wanted to achieve his goals.

"A soul stone cannot be bought with my fifty Martial Coins; I believe even the low-level soul stone is at least three hundred Martial Coins."

Agni took a deep breath, and then his eyes opened as a great idea came to his mind.

"The system said that I can gather soul energy by killing too; I wonder what amount of soul points I would earn from killing ordinary creatures or even soul creatures."

Agni smiled and then left his cabin to leave the Black Sun Sect for the time being.

Black Sun Sect was too close to a city named Wargenias City. Wargenias City was a city-state that was controlled and protected by Black Sun Sect.

The distance is not much—only about twenty kilometers. The Black Sun Sect itself was located at the west end of the Black Forest, which spans more than 5000 km from end to end.

As Agni approached the city gates, he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. The smells of exotic spices and the sounds of merchants haggling filled his senses, and he knew that he was in for an adventure.

He made his way through the crowded streets, scanning the various stalls and cages for the creatures he needed. He saw everything from majestic tigers to giant snakes to colorful birds.

He noticed a pretty common animal called "Blue Horn Pig", Blue Horn Pigs were the lowest of the soul creatures, with even a team of ordinary hunters able to take down one of them because of their numbers. It is the best meat for ordinary people to eat.

Agni came to a shop mixed with a ranch and then looked at the short man with the fat belly.

The man noticed himself and then noticed his black robes, which have the signature of the Black Sun Sect on them.

The eyes of the fat man changed, and then he hurriedly came to the side of Agni and started to talk in a respectful tone that he would not even use when talking to his father.

"Esteemed guest, what brings you to my lowly ranch?"

Agni looked around and then asked.

"What would be the prices of blue horn pigs here?"

The fat man did not expect a cultivator from the Black Sun Sect to ask about the blue-horn pig, but he answered anyway.

"Guest, it would be one martial coin per pig."

Agni nodded and then looked at one of the pigs. The size of a blue horn pig was about two times that of an ordinary pig on Earth. It should be enough to feed four people with no problem.

Agni took a deep breath and took one martial coin from his pocket and gave it to the fat man, then went in front of the blue-horned pig as he made a slashing motion with his hand on the head of the pig.

"Crunch !"

The power of a fifth-stage Daoist beginner is not something a blue-horn pig could handle. With one chop, the head of the creature was crushed, and it dropped dead on the ground.

At that time, Agni heard a small harmonic sound in his head.

"Ding 0.1 Soul Points Earned"

"Attention, the soul points earning rate will change according to the level of the user."

Agni smiled as he nodded.

"The attention means that you cannot keep killing lowly animals to keep on gathering soul points."

Agni took a deep breath and then asked to see the fat man.

"What is the strongest creature you have in here?"

The fat man smiled and then started talking. From his eyes and face, it was clear that he was proud of what he had on his ranch.

"I have a leatherback horse turtle; it is at Stage 4 Dao Beginner."

Agni nodded and asked

"What is the price for it?"
