His back connected with the cold, charred ground in the barren environment. Vector's clone was no where to be seen.
After some thought, he reached for his comm device and tapped the most recent contact he'd called.
"What the hell is going on, Hugo?! Where are you!?"
Hugo groaned a little, clutching the area in his side Vector had managed to stab just before he destroyed the clone. It was painful to say the least, and unfortunately for him, his highly versatile Black Matter didn't have any healing capabilities.
"Charles is dead," he managed to mutter as he stared into Physician's eyes.
"Who's Charles?" The man asked slowly this time, and Hugo remembered that most people didn't know of Inferno Hound's real name.
"Inferno Hound. Vector sent a clone after me and killed him before we even started fighting. I have his body here but seeing how strong a single clone of Vector is, I'm not quite sure we'll see any opportunity to bury him."
Late chapter again, I'm sorry. I promise the chapters won't be this late in the next volume. Just about four more chapters to go.
