Optic's body collapsed to the ground the moment Illusion Eyes activated, but he didn't stop looking into the eyes of the scorpion monster.

His swirling eyes magnetically attracted the monster to them. It couldn't move, too but Optic was in much greater pain.

Although the monster was feeling pain, that kind of pain was only its damaged pride and loss of freedom.

"Arghhhh! Make it stop! It hurts!" He clutched his head as he struggled to keep his eyes open. Trying to control a Rank SS beast with his power was suicide.

Eventually, red veins crept into his eyes, gradually turning the sclera into a pale red colour. The colour became murky after a few minutes of activating his power.

Wisp looked over at his kneeling brother, worriedly but didn't go too close for fear of disrupting the process.

"I need to make this work. If he is still alive, then I cannot rest in peace!!" Saying that he pushed the Awakening past its limits.
