章節 198: Aiden Jenkins. Fallen

I awake at what must be the middle of the night with a start. Karlie is asleep beside me on my sister's small double bed. Even with its small dimensions, the bed still takes up almost half of the room, there is barely any room on either side for people to walk through, and the end of the bed is taken up by a large wooden trunk containing all of Krissy's belongings. A small closet brimming with clothes takes up the wall to my left and the single window in the room is behind me. As I look around the barely lit room, an overwhelming sense of longing for my sister washes over me. I have not been in this room since Krissy disappeared that night of our peak argument, but because Brad is sleeping on the couch and Ash is sleeping in my futon, I had no choice but to suck it up and ignore that nagging feeling every time I step into this room.
