(Author- Final part of the crossover is taking a little longer than I wanted. So, I guess I'll whet your appetites by trying out my hand in adapting those two minute shorts. Enjoy!)
It was midnight at a campsite by a lake and in the Rust Bucket, everyone was sleeping soundly... or at least that's what I want to say.
Max was snoring like a foghorn that was keeping the twins completely awake. Ben and Jen were tossing and turning in their bed as Jen groaned and covered her face with her pillow, which did nothing. Ben pulled the covers over his head, but it was no good.
"Hey, Gwen?" Ben whispered to below his and his sister's bed to see their cousins sleeping, Gwen's eyes covered with a pink face mask and Becky slept soundly by her. "Psst! You awake?"
"I am now," Gwen groaned as she lifted her face mask and Jen looked to see Allison sleeping hard on the couch, her headphones completely blocking out the snoring with a contented smile on her face.
"Grandpa's snoring is killing us," Ben said. "We can't fall asleep. What are we gonna do?"
Gwen sighed and handed Ben a box of tissues. "Here, try this."
"Tissues? What am I supposed to do with these? Sneeze myself to sleep?"
"Stuff them in your ears, lame brain!" Gwen said.
"Hmm," Ben said. "That's actually a good idea."
Jen gently walked down and shook Allison awake as the goth girl groaned outwards and took an earphone out.
"What is it, Jenny?" she asked, slightly annoyed.
"That," Jen said as she gestured to her grandfather snoring and gestured to her bloodshot eyes, looking clearly uncomfortable.
"I got just the thing for you," Allison said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out an extra set of headphones and handed it to Jen. "Play some music on your phone. It should block out everything."
"You're the best, Allison," Jen smiled.
"I get that."
Jen crawled back into the bed and then plugged the headphones into her phone and turned on "Lullaby for a Soldier" by Maggie Siff. She smiled contentedly to herself before she snuggled into her pillow and fell deep asleep, not snoring a peep.
Ben however, stuffed the tissues into his ears and sighed contentedly before trying to sleep... the key word being "trying."
Max's snoring was still way too loud for Ben as he shuffled, trying to avoid waking Jen as she slept soundly, the calming music playing in her ears.
"I knew it was too good to be true."
Ben took his sleeping bag and pillow out before patting his sister gently on the head as she smiled gently and he walked out to avoid the noise.
"Looks like a nice day to sleep outside."
That was right when the sky started flashing with lightning and thunder before the rain came pouring down, much to Ben's dismay.
"You have got to be kidding me."
Ben tried everything back in the Rust Bucket to get some sleep without waking Jen, tossing and turning, wrapping his head in a sweater, putting himself in a sleeping bag, putting a Sumo Slammer's Cereal box on his head, tying the pillow to his head with a belt, none of which worked in the least.
"Deep fried tentacles," Max mumbled.
"This isn't working!" Ben whisper-shouted before he looked on his wrist to see the Omnitrix. "That's it! I'll go Grey Matter and sneak into a nice quiet place."
He then dialed it in and slammed the core down to become...
"Ripjaws?" he asked as he weighed down the bed. "Aw man. Now what am I gonna do?"
As soon as he said that, his gills started flexing and his angler started glowing as he got an idea and Jen started to groan from the weight added to their bed as Ripjaws snuck out.
"Ah. Peace and quiet..." Ripjaws said as he started to go to sleep underneath the lake with a contented sigh.
